Why is a mobile number required?

You need to verify your mobile number to play Tourney Pick'em.

TBH, I'm not sure. We're using the Yahoo platform to run this and it might be related to them verifying your identity. We're not collecting your phone numbers, I promise Smilie

doesn't mean they will never ever contact you- whats important is that they have your number on record.

You can manually have them stop sending you texts, but i am not sure. I have had numerous marketing calls coming to my phone, and i wasn't sure where it was from- the att representative told me that probably it was because my number was given to some telemarketing company when I signed up for something.

As for me I don't really want to participate because of the mobile phone number required. If anybody can recommend a good fake number website or program, that will be greatly appreciated.
