This lens never goes on sale and retails for $849. Since this is not a doorbuster deal, I will not need to rush in with the crowd to make the purchase. However some time in the afternoon I just need stop by the store to get the price adjustment/price match. This guarantees the price and guarantees you will have the camera in stock. I hear you, they just want to make a sale, so that's why they offered me this option. They have no reason to lie, cuz I'll just return the items if they LIED. It's not like this is FINAL SALE and I'm stuck with the items. If you think the deal is good, then it doesn't hurt to try. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and I return all items on that Friday. you guys ought to realize the D7000 is dropping in price. a new model will be released. the cam with 18-105mm will be available for less than $1,000 next year. no need to feel this is your last chance to save three hundred bucks on a nikon D7000.
