Still up. Put Monk on the bed but he couldn't settle and kept moving around. We were worried that he was going to fall off the bed as he's very wobbly and the bed is pretty high, so I brought him down to his heating pad beside my desk. It's definitely the end, he's behaving just as Squeak did before we had to have her put down. His kidneys must be in their final stage. But 18 years, 8 months is a long time for a cat and he's had a very happy and spoiled life. We'll miss him terribly though, he's just the sweetest cat in the world. Unlike his sister who was a terror at times...heck, most of the time.

Zoe. I'm so sorry for your loss. Comfort

Its so strange. The same way it happened for me, Axle & Shadow both going exactly 1 year from each other.

But I'm sure they are all finding comfort now, knowing how much they were loved. I hope they are all together, playing and having fun Smilie

Comfort Yeah, that part is really weird, not what I expected at all, since he was doing so well with the subcutaneous fluids. Didn't even realize it was one year to the day until DH pointed it out, he had marked it on his phone's calendar when she died. So Monk outlived Squeak by one year and one day, two days if you count the leap day.

Your poor babies did the same thing, had forgotten about that. Were they litter mates?

Did you ever sign up for the Central Market special coupons? If not you're missing out and you should do so. I still use all the free stuff we got via the coupons. Like the really nice Wusthof bread knife, the CM cookbook, the Wusthof wooden cutting boards (2 on separate offers), the stainless steel cheese knives (set of six), etc. Then there's the dollars off coupons, IIRC they were usually $10 off $20 or $20 off $60, something like that and quite a few for free foods, like a free pound of bacon, free cheese, etc. If you don't sign up, you're throwing away money.

Now I'm off to bed. Think we'll head into Seattle tomorrow for a big book sale at Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is) and maybe take in the EMP Museum while we're nearby. They have several neat exhibits at the moment.

Tumbleweed

Usually not a big fan of the mash up tees but for some reason I kind of like this one, but not enough to buy it.

so....

the canon ef-s 17-55 f/2.8 hasn't budged from $1048 on amazon, or anywhere else without going gray market, in the last 3+ months. the last SD listing were for march, or last December when it was $999.

They're running 2% rewards back ~$20 off.
I got an email from amazon for 10% off on up to $200 = another $20 off.
They have a discover offer for 1-day shipping.
Discover is running 5% cash back bonus on online shopping, up to $1500 = ~$50 cash back.

I'm starting to think I should just go ahead and bite the bullet on this one and buy it. it's not cheap, but it doesn't seem to be getting any cheaper. it's a serious upgrade to my 18-55 kit lens that gets by far the most use, and it will certainly last for years and years and seems to be for ~$500-600 in used sales. I don't see how I wouldn't get a couple thousand shots before at least my t2i dies, and I'd like not upgrade that far, anyway, most likely to another crop from canon, the t4i already would be a huge improvement.

Scratchchin so close...
