Market Basket deals thread--MA+NH

Welcome to the Market Basket Thread

We would like to thank misterchimpy for starting the Market Basket grocery store thread and for helping those users get the best deals at Market Basket despite their lack of web presence. This has helped to save users in MA + NH a lot of $$$ at Market Basket and give them an idea for what deals to look for.

Thread Rules
1) Anyone can work in the wiki.
2) Disagreements are a part of life, discuss them civilly please.
3) If someone does something to offend you (me included), or mentions wrong coupon use, don't throw them under the bus in the thread. Public ridicule is uncool! Politely mention the correct way or PM the person and settle it there.
4) Minor OT is fine (and fun!), but let's not get too excessive.
5) Coupon requests and trades are fine with me as long as they follow SD guidelines.
6) If you have a blog and use any info from the wiki and/or thread, of if you procure info from another site and post it here, please give credit and thanks where credit and thanks is due.

Remember: MB often has multi-week sales but only advertises them during one ad. So the sale may be for three weeks and advertised in the second week but not the first or second. This makes it appear the sale started early or ended late. Weekly sales are often turned on Saturday (or sale prices posted and thus honored) so don't be afraid to look for deals before or after you see them in the ad.

COUPON ALERT
Be on the look out in store for the following manufacturer and store coupons.

Coupon Policy
MB does not have an official coupon policy-or not one they are willing to admit to. The bare minimum we have figured out is that they:
do take insert coupons
do take printable coupons
do take coupons for free items
do take bogo coupons
do not accept expired coupons
do take a MB coupon and a manufacturer coupon for the same item unless excluded (please read fine print on coupons for exclusions)
do not give overage-coupons are redeemed for face value only
do need to know if the coupon needs adjusting-register will lock up if $1 coupon is scanned for .99 item and require manager override

Market Basket deals thread--MA+NH

Market Basket is a 50+ store grocery chain in MA + NH. Ihey don't double coupons, and don't have catalinas. But their regular prices are often a LOT lower than regular supermarkets(sometimes as much as 50 or 70 pct less), so if you aren't shopping for a specific deal, or don't have coupons for an item, you will almost always do better there, imo. And they are much better on produce, both in price and quality, then many other chains.

Unfortunately, they also don't appear to have any web presence at all. They briefly had a website in support of a store opening, but shut it down after a few months. More recently, someone started a 'fan site', mydemoulas.com, and posted the circulars there, but has updated it only sporadically. Otherwise, if you want an advance circular mailed to you(as per Getgreen09 and Wormbutt), you will need to go the service desk, and fill out a card to get on their mailing list(usually takes a few weeks to start).

As far as the Wiki, please feel free to post whatever you want, highlight specific deals, coupon matchups, in store tearpads, etc. Since most of MB's sales don't last more than a week, feel free to delete whatever doesn't seem relevant anymore.
