Market Basket deals thread--MA+NH

I sometimes miss Market Basket too. They always had the lowest prices. The one thing I miss the most, and this will sound weird, is these jelly mints things they sell there, or sold there. They are white little candies with jelly in the inside.... yeah, that sounded weird. Will be near one this weekend, I may stop in just for kicks!

New ad is up, covers 2 weeks 12/14-12/27. There's another contest, Kraft, with 100 winners of $100 M-B gift cards. Since they don't have loyalty cards,and thus, no automatic entries, might be worth looking for the entry box.

Was in tonight in NH, they had snapple anti-oxidant waters priced 3/$1.00. ymmv, may just be this one store.

Wow! Hi guys! I have never seen an online flier for Market Basket!!! My darn flier doesn't arrive til Saturday after 5, or sometimes even on Monday!! Thanks Misterchimpy!!!!! and shoptilidrop for the coupon matchup!!! MB is where I shop when I don't have any coupons .. or they have a good loss leader.

Sargento cheese shreds 8 oz .99(this might be the cheapest ive seen this in years!)
Perdue chicken 26-32 oz 6.99(don't know if they have the specific varieties that were in the 12/14 RP mail in rebate offer, but could be FAR)
Snow peas 2.49/lb

I just found a Q for $1/2 Sargento shredded cheese 5 ounce or larger. That makes two bags for $.98!! Q was in 11/16 RP

Thanks for starting this thread. Just found it today, but very excited. Like everyone else, MB is my 'regular' store when Shaws and CVS don't have all the deals!

My MB had a sign up that said the 0.99 Sargento was a misprint in the ad and it is supposed to be 2/$5. They aren't honoring the 0.99 price at my store (Londonderry NH), but hopefully other stores are...

Yeah I just saw that yesterday as well I thought that price seemed suspiciously low!

Next week's ad is up 1/4-1/10, nothing too exciting at first glance. I don't eat white bread, but .50/loaf seems like a pretty good deal. Also there are a number of Campbell's coupons in this week's Smart Source sunday insert.

Also, keep an eye out in the tortilla chip section(which is usually separate from the snack food--it's with the Mexican food). There are bags of a new product called Grande Tortilla Chips, they have peelies on them for a mail in rebate of the purchase price(they were $3).

Just went to MB and asked at the service desk and they have changed their policy and take internet q's now. Very excited! Thanks to this board, I never would have asked. I also got my free after rebate Grande tortilla chips... great find! The few other matchups I had were...
Marcal single roll for .67 and used the $1q that has been around.
Dragone mozzarella chunk was $2.99, same price as MB brand, and there is a $1/2 q from 10/5 and 12/14 inserts.
Celestial seasonings tea was $2.50 and used $1q from 10/5 SS (exp 1/4!)

My flier for this coming week, 1/4, arrived and I did a quick look. The page of Campbells and v8 products reminded me that last night when I walked in to MB last night there were special Campbells booklets on the rack with the fliers. I flipped through it and it was loaded with coupons for these products. I don't use these, but thought someone would.

The only other match-up I see is Electrasol gelpacs are $3.99 and there is a $2.50q coming out sunday the 4th. There is a walgreens rebate this month, but if you have more than one q, this would be a good place to use it.

OT: Salem NH shoppers ... I just left a few coupons for Playtex Sport Tampons $1, expiring today 1/4/09 on the shelf with those tampons (look down, lol!) over at the Walgreens next to Market Basket on route 28 ... kinda across from Shaws. I hope someone can use it! They are $4 this week - $1 coupon from the easysaver book - $1 q = $2 a package.

I will be posting this over in the Market Basket thread too, since it's also a local chain. Probaby someone should post if they take them! lol!

Gosh I hope mine accepts the internet coupons! Any ideas on what to tell them if the cashier doesn't want to scan them??

Starting tomorrow there's all kinds of kids yoplait 6 pks 2/$4 and there are a bunch of $1.50/1 printables in the printable coupons thread!! Check it out!!!

Last week I asked at the CS desk. So before I'd try with a cashier, I'd ask at the desk, then if they turn you away at the register, simply have them ask at the CS desk. Good call on the yogurts. Too bad my fridge is busting with gogurts from Shaws this week! LOL
