wave Welcome to the Market Basket Thread wave

We would like to thank misterchimpy for starting the Market Basket grocery store thread and for helping those users get the best deals at Market Basket despite their lack of web presence. This has helped to save users in MA + NH a lot of $$$ at Market Basket and give them an idea for what deals to look for.

Thread Rules
1) Anyone can work in the wiki.
2) Disagreements are a part of life, discuss them civilly please.
3) If someone does something to offend you (me included), or mentions wrong coupon use, don't throw them under the bus in the thread. Public ridicule is uncool! Politely mention the correct way or PM the person and settle it there.
4) Minor OT is fine (and fun!), but let's not get too excessive.
5) Coupon requests and trades are fine with me as long as they follow SD guidelines.
6) If you have a blog and use any info from the wiki and/or thread, of if you procure info from another site and post it here, please give credit and thanks where credit and thanks is due.

A) Please see this post from misterchimpy about a brief overview of what Market Basket is all about and their lack of web presence.

B) Please see this post for the history of them suing each other. OMG

Good deal on original Chips Ahoy(12 oz) only, saw them for 2 for $3. With $1 off 2 coupon(tearpads or 8/5 SS). they are $1 each. I think the other varieties of Chips Ahoy were 2/$5.

The 2lb tub of Body Fortress whey protein is on sale for $14.99 and there's a $3/1 coupon on redplum.com. Awesome deal for protein (no, it's not top of the line, but for that price, I'll take it).

I've been looking for a tub of protein for breakfast smoothies.....but haven't done my research on brands....but I was thinking RA with a bogo free sale would be the best bet for a decent brand and price....any thoughts on snagging this versus waiting for a RA sale?

I'm not familiar with what brands RA carries (and what their prices are). This is significantly cheaper than what this brand normally is. It's not the top of the line but it's not the worst either.

Depends what results you are trying to achieve. You might be better off buying something higher end if you are looking for performance because those have a more complex array of proteins to get a better effect. Having something mixed with amino acids and glutamine or low in carbs and sugar may be good considerations (for the latter, especially if you are on a day in which you won't be getting too much physical activity). Amazon and many other online retailers are great places to find stuff like that. Life Extension is another great place; it is nonprofit and they have very helpful service but not the cheapest by any stretch of the imagination. Though, I do find what they carry tends to be better than what is otherwise commonly available.

For vitamins if you are trying to get good results and you are trying to take something to improve overall health, I find the Now Vit-Min 100 is a great choice. I also take a Life Extension Fish oil http://www.lef.org/search/ingredi...index.aspx and I eat Clif Bars on days I am getting a higher amount of physical activity.

Bought 16oz block of Heluva Good cheese for 2.99 yesterday. Not sure if its in the flyer since I no longer get it in the mail and had stopped for a few select items so didn't grab one. 2.99/lb is the best deal on cheese I've seen in ages. EEK! Sometimes there are IPs you can print for their products as well.

Clearing out a drawer in the fridge to stock up for later....
