Bumping because this is the first thing I see when I google "cook's illustrated online coupon" so other people probably do too. Thanks! |

When your account is up for reneal, just call customer service at 800-526-8442 and tell them you would like to renew your subscription using promotion code E8GP1FC0D (note it is "c <zero> d" at the end). When the ask what the promotion code is for, just say $17.50 subscription rate. |

Deal still works. The current price for renewals is $34.95 if you're online only like me (and trying to save paper). $29.95 if you're a subscriber. And $17.50 if you use a new email address they haven't seen before (and maybe mailing address, which is what I did). I've done this two years in a row now.
This is less important, but eventually, I update my email address in account settings back to my normal email so I can keep it the same as all my other online memberships. |

Looks like the discount offer still works. ($17.50)
But... I was a subscriber, and my subscription had lapsed. So I tried this link using a new email address, but using my same mailing address they knew about. The transaction appeared to work, but when I attempted to log in to the content site, it said my subscription was expired (still). I logged into the customer service site, and discovered the process of trying to sign up with the discount link caused my old email address to be replaced with the new email address. My subscription was still expired, and my credit card did not get charged. Bottom line: If your subscription has expired, signing up with this discount offer apparently won't work if you give enough info to link back to your existing account. I might try the phone call idea that was suggested earlier in this thread. Last edited by DealyBob; 09-27-2012 at 10:55 AM.. |

This year they rejected the code when I tried to call in and use it for my renewal. I decided to let the account expire last month.
Today (one month exactly after my membership ended) I received an email from them with an expired member special - two weeks free trial and $17.50 for one year. |

What's the best rate for the paper edition? My sub ends next month and I need a deal. All the deals' I've seen are $25 for 6 issues. I would love a multi year renewal.
