I read an article this morning that a lot of people who got gift cards for xmas are returning it for cash, so thought I'd brows through ebay at gift cards/certificates to see what people are paying for them, and I noticed people are paying MORE than the face value on the gift cards - what's the deal with that?
For example, there was a $150 Amazon gift card with a current bid of $158.
Why not spend the $150 and buy what you need (or a $150 gift card if you intend to give it as a gift) and save yourself $8 and the headache.
Is there something about gift cards that I don't know?
I've sold some and they were overbid and I was paid for them just fine.
I also have wondered this too.....I was once told the American dollar was not worth as much as other places and perhaps thats why? I don't know
