No offense meant to anyone re: chicken nuggets! They used to be about the only thing DS ate, and fortunately he's branched out. So we're eating more variety, instead of chicken nuggets/fingers two or three nights a week ;-)

Hit Middlesex Acme at lunch. first time ever in this store. heard some very unflattering things about this store so never attempted, but really wanted to get some ketchup. They had plenty of stock and boxes more next to the display. also got 3 dipping sauces. OOP 3.87 for all, got my $10 cat back.
the cashier was very nice and the store was ok too. small store but nothing bad. hope it was not a fluke as i would then be able to hit it at lunch for future catalinas.

now i know i am done for the week!

I'm in my mid thirties and she's in her late twenties....I actually hired her in the store I used to manage while she was still in collage... then she had to transfer when we got involved....I still joke with her I'm gonna trade her in for a younger collage model!

LOl that's funny! I wish I could say I was in my mid 30's I'm rapidly aproaching the big 40. I tell my 12 year old he made me old.

I feel older, half my friends are 45+ and then our other half of friends are all late twenties, so I'm the odd one out!

Prepping for my last run..........Gotta get there ~8:30-9:00, that way I can check out before the 2nd cashier leaves and I won;t be bothered with too many shoppers though they have been telling me it's been REAL slow past couple months at night.

GF is working so I'm solo tonight, don't know how all you girls do it, especially with kids in tow, last night I was a mess without the GF to help bag things right and watch the coupons!

Alright I've posted WAY to much for the week, gonna try to figure out Shoprite next week latter tonight and take a SD break.

You don't have to "explain" anything. If they're having difficulty getting the CAT to scan and you notice them *start* to enter it as a grocery Q, just say, "Hey, before you do that, can I pay a penny towards the total so my Catalina coupons will still print properly?"

There's no reason to say "No," to that request, no matter how loony it might sound to them. If they particularly ask "Why?", then you can go into detail. But I think most (at least around here) would just be like, "Sure. Whatever..."

I don't really care how crazy the cashiers think I am if it means not having to deal w/non-printing CATs.

I was a SCO and really wished I did remember that. There are some really mean ladies that work at my store. I hate causing a scene which usually happens with 3/5 ladies b/c three of my neighbors work there. Hubby was shocked that we walked out without another $10. I told him why bother when we don't shop here week to week anymore. It's so draining even though the store is a 2min walk.

I didnt do any runs today I had so many other things to do. I didnt get my circulars in the mail today ... I always like to have them in my hands to look over... I think I will be shopping shoprite next week ha ha. Reg036 I think I am in your 1st group... ha ha.. Pookie111 got to start your stockpile on drinks for your 40th Martini Party.... with the way we drink them..

anyone know if the save $.50/2 Q in the banquet meals will work on the chef boyardee that is part of the sale. Q says Chef Boyardee Big Can varieties and I am not sure what that entails.

I'm ready for a break from Acme. I did 20 transactions tonight so I think I am now stocked on Snapple until sometime in summer. My store was low on soup (only 20 cans) but I managed to make due with pudding and swiss miss. The food bank is getting lots from me this week. Now to organize it next week so I can make deliveries.

I wish I had a shop rite near me that was closer. If I rest up from all my Acme trips, I may think about trying a shop rite that's about 8 miles away. They are building a new one within 2 miles from my house that should be completed by summer.

8 miles is nothing, worth a trip or two a week, Shoprite always has some good freebies...........if you have Quaker $1/1, there are bags of the oats for $1, buy 4, use the Qs, pay $0 & get a $2 OYNO, at least it was still working yesterday, no one knows the end date of that OYNO!


I'm done now..... thought about another run to a store open till midnight but GF said ! She's right, I'm gonna sort everything tomorrow on my folding tables outside and divvy up what I'm giving away and to whom, 3 neighbors, and a set of good friends with a newborn, we thought they had no money before the baby, now it's worse, thank grapes for SD though, cheep diapers and gonna have a free lifetime supply of johnson's soon.

Now will we get a better ad for the 24th or should I just buy some meat this week with my $10 OYNO????


PS Acme, in the future please make it 2 $5 OYNOs instead of a $10, I need to restock the meat in my freezers on the next deal please!!!
