Yeah I know that many fields, that one included, can be tougher to find jobs in that things with applied sciences...and agree that maybe the universities should restrict them a bit more to account for fewer of those types of jobs.
Not saying you said that by quoting you...just my 2 cents.
Unrelated little tidbit. I went to a private school and it probably cost my roommate in total (just for tuition) about $120k almost 20 years ago. His degree was.
Yes, seriously he (well more likely his parents) spent $120k so he could become a HS gym teacher
He was a really nice guy, but W T H !!!! I'd say that's another field they should look at restricting!
A former professor seeks subsidy for students so they can go into debt and pay outrageous sums of money to colleges.
No wonder she's so popular on college campuses.
Seriously, rather than draw attention to our stagnant Japan-like interest rates, she actually seems to think it's a good thing and should be expanded?
I'm going to have to say why not. Why when interest rates are 0% why are kids "forced" to pay 7% on a loan that can't be wiped out, unlike tons of other debt. There is significantly less risk with this type of loan than many others. Shouldn't the rate reflect that? While I don't necessarily think it should be at Prime 6.8% seems too high. Heck, my wife's are between 1-2% and we see no need to pay them off as we've got CDs collecting more interest than that!
