new frontpage 'hottopics' and 'up and coming topics' are hard to read.

It was much easier to read when they had a blue background..

Some websites use colors now that appear washed out. I gather most people can't notice this. Maybe my eyes are freaky. In fact they are using gray tones and not real black. I think SD blue looks better for foreground.

Mine disappear! The language for the "hot topics" and the "up and coming" goes away and all I have are the comments balloons or thumbs up. ?? So annoying! It still gives me the option of scrolling over and clicking, but then it opens the deal and it's usually something I am not interested in. What can I do to fix it? Hate it.

What os/browser are you using? Which theme? Can you provide a screenshot?

This is an abnormality since we checked it on IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome before releasing it.

Please also try doing a hard refresh (CTRL + F5).

me=computer illiterate. How do I know which browser I am using? I tried to do a screen shot, but I'm not sure how to use this laptop (hubby knows all that stuff and he's at work). The "PrtSc" is above "Sys Req" and I don't know how to select the screen print option. I did try the hard refresh, brings some of it back for a bit, but as soon as I roll over it, away it goes.

Browser is IE - not sure which one.

Give it a shot now, we fixed it in hybrid and were testing it before bringing it to the other themes.

I for one dont like the new fonts and backgrounds either. Harder to read. Just one man's opinion.

both. if it is possible for us to compare different revisions I think the community could give better input. right now I see it's possible to obtain the revisions of css from the sd server but i really don't know how to make an old style frontpage revision render without using greasemonkey or something like that to substitute the new revision num for an old one, which is kind of complicated.

Give it some time and let your eyes adjust to the new design I know that anytime we update its a jolt to people's expectations and they just need to get familiar with it.

Same thing happened when we first introduced hybrid (aka 2.0).

We will work on testing out new colors on our end in the meantime, but first of all, the backround of that area was never blue, it was always tan. Secondly, we believe that if we make the links blue like all the other links, it will actually blend in even more and be harder to segment out the page to its individual parts. (Fp deals, hot topics, etc)
