So the contest starts when.....?????

February 16, 2009 00:00:00 AM PST to March 1, 2009 23:59:59 PM PST

So if the contest doesn't start for a week, does that mean we have to post and sign up for deal alert again AFTER it does?

Its not obvious to the 1000+ ppl posting in this thread

I'd say the Latitude E6500 beats the competition because of the SSD, the 9-cell, and the backlit keyboard.

Dell is by far the computer manufacturer. The most reliable, best warranty options. There performance is the best in the industry! I wouldn't buy anything else

The Latitude E6500 beats the competition because the processor is one strong processor and the screen is full HD.

This dell would be amazing with its nice solid state hard drive, nice blue tooth to connect directly to my cell phone, long lasting 9 cell battery, with its very nice UltraSharp monitor.

This would be perfect computer for any needs, business, personal, ect.!

First of all its a Dell so its going to have great specs including a monster CPU+battery along with that great SSD for a hard drive. Can't wait to see who wins.

This laptop is blazing fast! You cannot beat the combination of a high res screen, SSD, and lightweight design.

Simple answer - quality and durability.
I had an HP that stopped working on me after it slid off my bed (well, pushed by a 4 year old actually) and hit a plush carpet floor.
My last Latitude was dropped 40 feet out the back of a CH-47 onto a dry riverbed in Afghanistan in 2006. I opened up my rucksack... took it out of it's case... powered it up... DING worked flawlessly.
Who needs a Toughbook?

I have a C400, D410, D600, D610... Would love to get a D420 or D430 when a SD comes around again.
