monthly discount
Ok, I have a special question and wonder whether anyone else out of there has the same situation. Somehow during my last upgrade they applied a $15 monthly discount to my bill every month, which brings my monthly SERO bill from $37 down to less than $20. Now the old Centro has very week signal sometime and I really want to upgrade it. But my concern is I might loose the $15 monthly discount. Any suggestion? Thanks! |

After only 20 days my TP2 died. well screen died I think. I went to the store and they gave me a new phone. The only good thing about it I got stylus, battery and cables from broken TP2 so now I have replacements. They were able to transfer all my data to new phone i only lost couple of programs that I will reinstall later..

3 weeks ago, I got my $70 credit for renewing my contract following instructions on post #631 (Thanks for the helpful info). My account still shows that i have $150 towards a new phone. I am thinking about saving the $150 for a future phone. But for now, i want to swap my current Motoq 9c to a palm 800w that my bro is gonna give me. If i do the activation online, would sprint somehow take away the $150 towards a new phone? any1 dealt with a similar situation before? please shed some light. thanks.

So I'm in at the Sprint Store phone upgrade page, with my $150 discount listed, and all of the good phones are still here like the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment. Is this just to mess with me/trick me into buying these phones and once I get one I'd have to upgrade my plan? Is the TP2 still the best thing going?

SERO is compatible with any windows based sprint cell OS 6.5 & under. The HTC Touch Pro2 is by far your best option on SERO. Some people really like the Palm Centro (old Palm OS, not WebOS) also. Stay away from the HTC Touch Pro, simply because the TP2 is so superior to the Touch Pro. All Instinct phones, all Android phones, all WebOS phones are not & will not be compatible on SERO. Windows 7 & iPhone phones will not be compatible when they hit Sprint either. All dumb phones (except the Instinct line) & Old Palm OS phones are compatible. CrackBerry's are the gray area. You can definitely get any Curve or older BB activated, but you will need to add BIS to the plan, then they will be poking around your account unless you can do it yourself online. Always opt to manage your account yourself as much as possible. Any further ?'s, google "Sprint Users" and visit that forum. I've been active on there for many years. They have an entire subforum on SERO there. No need to ask anymore ?'s here as it's already answered there.
Staying with SERO for as long as you can is a great idea, most especially if ya have a TP2! PPCgeeks, XDA, & SprintUsers are the best forum for learning about WM 6.5, cab files, customizing your phone, the newish windows marketplace, etc... The great thing about WM 6.5 & under is that it is business centric and it's not locked down. It is highly modable, & it's learnable. The TP2 cab file which restores the native ability for the TP2 to function as a wifi router is very sweet on SERO. Additionally, SERO & any Everything Data plan function the same way technically... the difference is a low bill vs. a much higher bill with a few added features.
