I'm a frequent Giant shopper, so will post a few of the upcoming deals for 2/22-2/28:
Perdue cutlets are BOGO Perdue Breaded Chicken $1 (3-8-09) V 1/11/09 Giant whole chickens are 69 cents/lb. This is the lowest price I've seen in a while. Time to buy a couple chickens, roast 'em, shred the meat, and freeze it in small portions for later use in casseroles, quesadillas, enchiladas, etc.

Sale ends on Saturday the 21st. Giant has assorted varieties of cheerios on sale for 4 for $ 6.00, but you must buy 4. Amounts greater or less than 4 are $ 2.49 ea. The Giant's in my area will double coupons up to 99 cents. They will only double the first of multiple coupons. So for example let's say you use 4 coupons that are .55 off 1 Banana Nut Cheerios, they will double the first coupon to $ 1.10 but the other three will remain .55. I used 4 different coupons so they all doubled. Here's how I did it: Coupon 1 - box Banana Nut Cheerios - $ 1.50 - $ 1.10 = .40 ($ .55 Bricks) 1 - box Honey Nut Cheerios - $ 1.50 - $ 1.10 = .40 ($ .55 Bricks) 1 - box Apple Cinna. Cheerios - $ 1.50 - $ 1.50 = Free ($ .75 Bricks) 1 - box Apple Cinna. Cheerios - $ 1.50 - $ 1.50 = Free ($ .75 Smartsource) That's 4 boxes for .80 Of course I went back and got another 4 boxes later today since I had printed these coupons twice. Hope some other SDers can take advantage of this deal. |

![]() Move, what are you confused about? Not sure how to help you. Cuez laid out the scenario pretty nicely, I thought. If she'd wanted to buy 4 banana nut Cheerios, and given the cashier four of the .55-off 1 box coupons, the register would only double one of those coupons, per Giant's policy. Having different coupons for each box meant that the coupons would all double. You can get the printable coupons she used by checking smartsource.com and this thread. I'm off to Giant tonight. Will be getting some of the Chef Boyardee pasta that's on sale 10/$10. At one of my stores, you get $5 off wyb 8. I have coupons for $1/5 cans (I think they're from the 1/4/09 SS). So, getting 25 cans. $25-$15 promo (8x3)=$10-$5 coupons=$5 for 25 cans, or 20 cents/can. These will be going to the local food bank. Thanks to coupon kung fu , I've been able to donate nearly $800 worth of stuff to the food bank in the last few months, at a cost to me of about $40.Here are the Colgate Qs (from the alpha list of unexpired Qs, in this forum): Colgate Advanced Whitening, Total Advanced Clean or Total Advanced Fresh only 4.0oz+ $1 (2-21-09) SS 2/1/09 Colgate Toothpaste Adult or Children’s 4.0oz+ .75 (2-21-09) SS 2/1/09 Last edited by PhillyJan; 02-20-2009 at 06:43 AM.. |

I was just surprised about the fact that I need to use differents coupon in order to get doubled...Each store have their rules I guess

That's a good question. There seems to be so much variation just among Giants in my area ... ugh! I had a so-so run tonight. They aren't real great about shelf tags, and I tried to reproduce the Cheerios deal, but the .75/1 multigrain Cheerios Q beeped, didn't double, and they were going to deny it (it says one per purchase ... the old purchase/transaction misunderstanding again... sigh). Also, for some odd reason the .50/1 multigrain Cheerios Q from the paper didn't double correctly--only got 51 cents for it
So I ended up paying $2.24 for 4 boxes; not bad, but I was expecting to pay $1 for all 4. ![]() I have enough coupons to redo this deal tomorrow at another Giant, but I'm not sure if I'm up to it
