Colgate is only 99 cents. I am sure there are some coupons for that. I am gonna try and find them.
If you have a Shoppers Food Warehouse near you, there's a $1 manu cpn for Colgate tp 6.4oz+ or Colgate Total Professional or Colgate Total Wave tb in the flyer for the week ending 2/25.

Yesterday I just noticed that the Banquet Value Meals are $1 each and are part of the Buy 8, Get $5 off. This makes some very cheap "emergency" meals to keep in the freezer!

I would love to take part in this deal but I have a cold from hell. So I will probably miss out. Hopefully Next week there will be some good deals.
Giant seems to have cereal deals weekly. If they only doubled all coupons, I'd shop there more. I seem to be spending a lot of time at Acme lately Big Grin. However, I will be picking up chicken tomorrow at Giant, and using another of the $3 off a $35 purchase cash register coupons I received. Tried to use a $5/50 last night, but because I'd bought milk, my total really was $46-something, not $50. Head Bang Oh well.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Harmonysmomma!

We don't have acme, which is a bummer. And our closest superfresh is like 30 mins away, so i only go when they have triple coupon.

Regarding Giants only one double coupon, how do you know this? Do they have it posted? Do they all do that? I don't even recall seeing this done at ours, but I will have to pay better attention now!

And thanks.... i pray this goes away soon!!

Not a great week at Giant this week (at least for me!)

Here are a few items that are decent deals

Pop Tarts -- on sale for $1.89 each, buy 8 and get $5 off instantly.
With 4 of these Qs, the total ends up being 6.12 for 8 boxes, or $.77 per box. Not the best deal, but not too bad.

8 @ 1.89 = $15.12 - $5 -$4 =$6.12

Kelloggs Pop Tarts, any 8ct.+ $1 on 2 (4/19/09) V 2/22/09
Kelloggs PopTarts, any 8 ct+ $1/2 (3/1/09) V 1/18/09

Similar deal on the Kellogg's fruit snacks (if you didn't stock up at ACME last week)

Perdue Short Cuts
Same deal PhillyJan posted on the cutlets...B1G1 and there is a $1 off Q (use 2), so total for 2 is $3.99 or $2 each.
Perdue Short Cuts, any $1 (3-8-09) V #2 1/4/09

BTW, if you are looking at the Shadybrook Farms 93% lean ground turkey for $2.29/lb at Giant this week - head to ACME instead. This week at ACME it is only $1.99 for the 20oz package, which makes it $1.59/lb. Good time to stock up!

Cuez2000, thanks for the Cheerios deal!! I went to Giant on Friday and of course they were out of the Banana Nut Cheerios, so I had to get a raincheck. Redeemed it today and with Qs it ended up being free (not sure how Confused)

I always go over all my receipts with a fine-toothed comb when I get home. Last week I was overcharged at 2 stores because of missed coupons. I usually try to keep a close eye on this, and know what the charge will be before I hit the register, but stuff happens sometimes. I find the biggest problem at Giant is that sometimes coupons that aren't supposed to double do double, and sometimes ones that I wanted to double don't. Acme is much more predictable for me in that respect.

I'll be heading to the local Giant later for the Perdue cutlets and the 69 cent/lb chicken. Then tomorrow night, roasting and shredding chickens and making stock! Just finished dealing with the chuck roast that was BOGO last week. I put 4 pounds of it in the crockpot with 1 cup water and a tablespoon of cider vinegar, 1 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of pepper. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (overnight, in our case). Then toss the liquid and shred the meat. Tonight I'll add i cup pickle relish, 14 oz bottle of ketchup, 15 oz can of tomato sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (basically, barbecue sauce!), and then freeze small portions. Heat up later and serve in hamburger buns. I've been finding lots of buns on the cheap rack at our Giants lately ... 88 cents for 8 rolls! So barbecue sandwiches with fries (bought on sale at GIant, of course) and Green Giant steamer vegetables (still have a lot from the free-at-Walmart deal earlier this year), and we have a good meal on the cheap.

Actually, you get 2 Perdue shortcuts or cutlets for $3.99, minus two $1/1 coupons, total $1.99 for 2 packages, or about $1 each.

Here are a couple other deals I found:

Fiber One bars, sample pack (2 bars), 99 cents. Free with coupon, which auto-adjusted to give 99 cents off after doubling (no beep, yay!)
Fiber One Chewy Bars, any .50 (3-21-09) SS 1/25/09

Yakisoba noodles are 85 cents.package til 2/28. Use the .35/1 coupon to bring the price down to 15 cents. If your Giant won't double more than 1 like coupon, you can get the second and subsequent packages for 50 cents each ... or buy one at a time!
Maruchan Yakisoba Flavor, any .35 (3-31-09) SS #2 1/4/09

Hubby bought me a freezer a few months back because we were running outta room with all my coupon deals. I just started buying meat in bulk, cooking, then freezing it. I'm loving it! It's so much easier. Plus, using my free crockpot I got at CVS on Black Friday makes it taste better too Big Grin

I've been freezing and crock-potting for a dozen years ... it's the only way to cope with 2 working adults and a rotating cast of teenage boys in the house. I have a standup freezer that's chock-full. BTW, you can get powdered milk and reconstitute that for cooking ... these days I just eyeball the amount of powder I need for however much milk in the recipe. I've been using 1/3 cup powdered milk and 1 can of water to reconstitute tomato soup for years, and none of the guys have noticed Big Grin. So much cheaper, and when you have to buy 2 to 3 gallons of milk a week just for drinking and cereal ... well, Ninja

Don't know if you guys have those coupon machines in the front of your Giants (only one of my local ones does), but yesterday I scanned my card and got a $1 coupon off a $10 meat purchase, which made those cheap 69 cent/lb chickens a little bit cheaper!

Not happy, though, that the cashier wouldn't scan my $/$$ coupon until after he'd scanned all my other coupons. My total before coupons was $74, so I should have gotten $5 off instead of $3 (total after coupons was $51). Oh well, $3 is better than nothing.

First - only certain Giants double coupons up to $1.00 ($2.00 after doubled). My Giant, unfortunately only doubles up to $0.50 ($1.00 after doubled). This sincerely changes some of the deals for the week. I wonder if customer service has a list of who doubles up to $2.00? That would be useful!

Second, Giant has free Progresso soup this week. It is on sale for 10/$10. Use this IP coupon and you have lots of free soup.

Would anyone be interested in starting a list of the Giants that do double up to $2.00? I know I would find it extremely helpful.

I thought all my local Giants (Reading, Lancaster PA) only doubled up to $1.00 then I found out if I went the opposite direction to Exton, PA I could get doubles up to $2.00!! It's really not even any farther for me.
