I was wondering if anyone had ever considered starting up a thread for donating stuff that you got free or cheap to another SDer?

I remember reading recently, but can't remember where, of someone who was looking for the soyjoy bars for a cancer patient. I, for one, have several boxes that I won't eat, and wouldn't mind donating to someone who could use it on here. Also, back when WAGS had their brand of claritin on special, I recall someone looking for extra boxes, which I might have as well.

I thought maybe folks would be willing to donate to another SD person if they needed a product. Kinda like the RAOK coupon thread, but with actual items. Of course, it would be up to you if you wanted to ship for free, .

Anyone interested?

I have some things I found in my stockpile that are expired. I know some of you are like me, depending on the product you'll use it past the date. Not sure exactly how many I have, but I have the following products:

Estroven
Culturelle

Most either have just expired in 2015 or expired in late 2014.

If you're interested, let's chat.

I have about 6 of Children's advil syrup, all sealed, expiry dates in late 2016. Local trades/donations only.

P.S: I have tried googling and contacted numerous places near me over the last few years and no-one takes this stuff. So if someone knows of a local place that takes donations of this sort near where I am for sure, would appreciate info on that too.

ISO a trade involving Prevacid -- down to my last bottle.

I have all the usual stockpile stuff and would like to arrange a by-mail trade of something equally as light (makeup?)

How about a Women's shelter for domestic violence victims. Many will have kids with them and (in my area anyway) they are always appreciative of anything.

Another suggestion - If there's a church near you that has a food pantry, most of them will take these types of products as long as they are sealed and not expired. They recognize the people they serve need these types of things. The two I share items with both have a 'miscellaneous' table. All the non food items go there, and each family is allowed to only take one item from it unless they get a higher volume of products.

Thanks for the suggestions, will check with some places if they take it.
