RSS feed for Front Page Deals no longer working?
Over the last two days my RSS feed link to the Front Page deals has been reporting a "file not found." When attempting to run an RSS feed discovery using my RSS reader on the SD front page no RSS feed is found. And finally, when clicking on the RSS icon on the front page I am taken to a blank page. Is this a bona fide issue with RSS feeds? |

Are they still not working for you? If so, which feed in particular are you using? All of them seem to be working fine here in Firefox.

The RSS feeds are again working for me, thanks to your responses confirming that there was no problem at the Slickdeals end.
I use the MVPS Hosts file subscription as an added protection for my Windows desktop PC and discovered that either the most recent update of the Hosts file included a redirect of the "feeds.feedburner.com" (which is what Slickdeals uses to track RSS feed usage) or that Slickdeals just started using this link for their RSS feeds. Commenting this redirection in the Hosts file fixed the problem. I should get in the habit of looking there first, since a lot of the Slickdeals tracking features are stopped by this Hosts file subscription. |
