Last time, someone posted this deal and i missed it. Now it is available again!!!

Link: http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=14692&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=27238

You must create an account to check out and put 20 in the quantity box.

Shipping is free. So you can order this to redeem 5000 points for your credit card and then return the coins to the bank.

PS: You can order more than 20 boxes but it has to be in separate orders (Limit is 20 boxes per order but you can order as many boxes as you want).

The deal is alive again as of 7pm PST on March 18

Native American Coins Sold Out as of 7/12/09. Hopefully temporary?

WHY IS THIS A SLICK DEAL?

the point of this is to purchase coins with a credit card in order to receive credit card rewards such as cash back and airline miles. Once purchased, the coins can easily be deposited at a bank and used to pay off the credit card. Essentially, this is a deal since you receive credit card rewards for little effort and no cost.

Just a warning, make sure you have enough credit remaining on your card!

The charge won't appear on your credit card until they ship your order. They do put a pending charge pre-authorization hold on your card in the amount of your order for in stock items when you place the order however the pending charge falls off in 3-10 business days (depending on your credit card) and once the order ships a new charge is placed on your credit card within a day of being shipped and takes 2-3 days before appearing as a charge.

If you provide your email when you order you should receive a shipment notification with the tracking number once it has shipped. Orders over $300 also require a signature for delivery.

Here's a link to their Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Rolls so you can see what is and isn't still available:

ALIVE AGAIN as of 2:18 pm PST

-----
vijaymd44: I just signed up after I ordered and can see my order in my account directly.

If you placed your order without a user account, and can't access the tracking. Here's a trick that will let you track it.

1. First, sign up and login to your account.
2. Click on track order.
3. Get your user id from the url of the track order page, it should be an 8 digit number at the end of the url where is says userId=xxxxxxxx

For example:
hXXps://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/USMOrderListCmd?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&userId=98765432
The User id here would be 98765432

4. Get your order number from your order confirmation email, it is another 8 digit number.
5. Fill in your userId and orderId (order number) into the url below (replace the xxxx with your 8 digit ids) and load it on your browser. (You need to be logged in when you do this, if you are logged out, click on track order again to login before going to the url)

hXXps://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/USMOrderStatusCmd?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&orderId=xxxx&userId=xxxx

*remember to replace the hXXps with https in your browser.*

Deal is live again, but shipping is now $4.95 for standard shipping - Edit Shipping is still free, $4.95 removed at final checkout.

You can't check it now until your order has shipped. But their (order tracking) is currently unavailable for the last 2 weeks. Since I am a regular customer, so I know. Last time, I ordered 2 boxes of different dollar coins, the total weight (coin and carton box) is about 10lbs. So 20 boxes are probably 100lbs. lolz

Guys: Has anyone thought of this:

Say you have a pretty darn good credit limit on a credit card @ 0% apr for some time...
How about buying these coins at 0% and using the money given back to pay for a debt that you are paying interest on. Say a credit card at 4 grand. That way you avoid balance transfer fees!

Or if you don't owe much on your car loan... pay it off. And then pay your credit card before the 0% expires.

Just my 2 cents.

For some, this might be better than getting 1% return.

But nowaday, most credit card companies don't offer 0% APR on purchases (if they do, usually only 3 or 6 months), they only offer 0% APR for balance transfer, usually from 12 months to 18 months range. So I think 1% is good enough and get the new dollar coin for the fun of it. If someone happens to have a 0% APR on purchase for 12 months or longer, then it would be a great better deal for him/her.
