Did not like the $59..00 jack
I got the $59 jack a month ago. No major complaints, gets my car up for tire rotations and oil changes a lot faster than the old mini 2ton jack I have. Its on the site, but listed as an in-store item only. The jack is only rated for 1.5 tons, so I wouldn't recommend using it on anything huge. (check the reviews a couple people claim its tough enough to use on a truck but I wouldn't chance it). I do have to say the front "drum" wheel is pretty annoying, makes it kinda hard to maneuver the jack.http://www.harborfreight.com/3000-lb-capacity-lightweight-aluminum-racing-jack-91039.html
I tried the $59.00 Aluminum Jack. I would be a great jack and I would have kept it if the front wheel was regular wheels ,but the Single wide front roller made it real hard to place it under the car just to low to the ground and if there is any small pebbles, it's makes it even harder. So I took it back & got there 3 Ton Capacity Low Profile Floor Jack it weighs more but it's a far better jack the only down side is it will not get any lower than 5 1/8" were the Aluminum 1 will lower to 3 1/8". Even with that, truefully there 3 Ton Capacity Low Profile Floor Jack is the 1 I would get, I paid $79.00 for mine 2 years ago. But I posted a coupon for $49.99 it has to be used by the 1-16-11 . http://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-capacity-low-profile-floor-jack-94629.html |

I have never weighed it but i would say it's a lot closer to 50 or 60 pounds myself. But even at 80 pounds its still a far better jack. The $59.00 1 did an OK job on cars but I just did not do a good job with my 1 ton truck and the Low Profile Floor Jack goes under a most small cars as well as my truck. I thank there $26.00 jack did a better safer job jacking up my truck than the $59.00 1 did. And it's only 26 pounds and only $26.00 http://www.harborfreight.com/2-to...66725.html |

My HF store will not apply 20% coupon on compressors.
The cashiers' computer rejected the coupon. And then the cashier pointed me to a post that says 20% cannot apply to compressors and other 4 or 5 things. That post is called in store coupon correction notice, or something. Is that one store thing, or pretty much implemented everywhere? Anyone successfully used 20% on compressors? |
