Damn you got a smoking deal. Seems like pep boys don't carry them anymore. I need the 12 ton for the extra height/safety in the near future since my 4runner will be hitting 30k. I do all the maintanence on my other vehicles with a 3 ton. The 3 tons I have won't be able to reach the require height I need. Frown
Yeah definitely do not overextend cheap jackstands or try to prop them up, very very dangerous and can end badly.

If you have a Farm/Tractor Supply store in your area, sometimes they have better deals on heavy duty equipment like this.

Pep Boys used to pricematch too and they used to have discount coupons, they might still do both. With black friday around the corner, pep boys starts putting out weekly ads next sunday (not this one) so be sure to look for those deals too.

Another possibility is the 40-50% off coupon codes for advance auto parts that pop up monthly or every other month.

Oh and I had this bookmarked from when I was priceshopping:
http://www.overstock.com/Home-Gar...oduct.html
$55 at overstock for the double locking + free ship, which is amazing ($30 less than amazon)
But since they are listed as "out of stock" it is very very dicey to get anywhere to price match.
However with black friday around the corner, price matching policies are getting much looser.
Very few if any local stores stock the double-locking model though, they go for the cheaper model without the safety.

I don't suppose anyone has a 6" magnetic parts holder free with purchase coupon? I believe the last one in the Wiki expired.

I have three of them, but they work so well I want, no I need more!
yep these things are great. I looked in my coupon stash but the one i had expired 10/23

Does the 2 ton aluminum racing floor jack (68051) ever go on sale? I haven't seen it for less than the usual "sale" price of $150 or $159.99.
The 1.5 ton that's always on sale for $59 or $69 is way too small (14.75" lift) and there's only $30 difference between the better 1.5 ton and the 2 ton.

Those all expired on 10/21............... But don't worry, they will be back at some point. It might be 6 months though.

I have about 50 of those parts pans!........ and about 50 of all the other 10/21/13 freebies too! bounce

Funny thing happened today.....

I went in with a 25% off as well as some per-item coupons - wanted to buy a roll around cart when I noticed that the 25% specifically excluded toolboxes & carts (I knew about the toolboxes but not the carts). I got the cart, roller up to the register, handed her the coupons, and thought that the 25% would come off of something small I'd picked up - but to my surprise it took 25% off the ~ $50 cart.

While I probably only go there once a month or so - I'd never seen this before - some customer (non-employee) handing out pages of 25% off coupons laugh out loud

Your printer is out of ink?
You ran out of paper?
You get to the store and find you left them at home?
You checkout and forgot to give the cashier your coupons?
The cashier says you can't use printout/copies and you didn't think to say "what do you mean I can't use coupons that Harbor Freight emails me?"

I try to hand out one or 2 every time I go in. But always in the back of my mind is they are a business and someone needs to keep the lights on.

I would say 100 freebies qualifies him for 'he has a cough' level.

When you have to throw a screwdriver away after each screw to keep the screwdiver drawer closeable, we'll talk.

May I ask, have you seen the harbor freight 12 ton jack stands lower then $90 x .25 = $67.50 before? http://www.harborfreight.com/12-t...34924.html Thanks in advance!
If I have, it's been a while. It might have been an RV magazine, but I haven't found a HF ad in an RV magazine in a while.

I know Diesel Power only had the 6 ton this time around.

If you're up for a build, search "4x4 tall stands". That should give you some ideas. Otherwise the tall HF underhoist stand [harborfreight.com]is the basic design I would use.

Cheapways I'd use wood cribbing.

Those people must have a death wish.

I've seen old 2x4s split with a nail in the right place, imagine the pressure of 2 to four tons pressing down, and those looks like individual boards that are free to move on their own?
