Slickdeals Coupon Usage Rules and Guidelines

Slickdeals New User Guide
(helpful for even some of us older users)

Coupons are in the attachments at the bottom of this wiki. Search for 'Attached Thumbnails' (use CTRL-F). Press search again if you just found this line...

Watch the DATES, we often find and post future coupons.

COUPON POLICY
HF standard policy is (however, YMMV)

One coupon per item, no double dipping on coupons. Fixed sale price (ex. $4.99 screwdriver set) or 25% off any one item - not both.
One percentage off per purchase, per day (generally are 25% off)
You can generally use a 25% coupon on an item on sale. However, some have reported that they have been turned down. If that happens to you, try a different cashier.
Fixed price item coupons will list a max quantity allowed.
One "freebie item" per day (currently are with "any purchase", occasionally a minimum purchase).
Fine print for percentage off coupons exclude some name brands (C-H),air compressors, tool chests, generators, floor jacks, parking lot and other special sales.
Occasionally, HF will offer a percentage off total purchase. Generally, to get a 20% discount the coupon is worded as requiring a specific dollar amount purchase ($99).

(You can generally use a 25% coupon on a sale priced item (fine print exclusions {like parking lot sales still apply) or an online price match. However, some have reported that they have been turned down. If that happens to you, try a different cashier {or store).

INSIDE TRACK CLUB - ITC Membership required by company direction, BUT some cashiers don't care enough to check for your card. YMMV.
Pay close attention to what you're buying. I went through maybe 20 items before I found one that wasn't less simply using the 25% coupon. Several items not on sale were better with the ITC coupon but the trailer for example was $20 less using the 25% coupon over the ITC coupon. One item was not on sale and the ITC coupon was the non-sale price!!

MONTHLY (numbering is +10) (post latest on top)
7511 Monthly ITC for July [harborfreight.com]

OTHER INFO
Retail stores should price match the on-line website. Bring printouts to get online price matches in-store.
20% and 25% coupons should work on top of the price match as well.

Home Depot and Lowes have taken printed HF coupons but Your Mileage May Vary.
Taking in full page magazine ad with 20% off coupon and removing at register is best option as coupons don't have obvious Harbor Freight logo or identification on them.

Coupons that have expired and are no longer valid may still be honored or partially honored online. Examples being magazine coupons which are not yet updated. Call customer service with item and coupon numbers and they may be willing to process the order for less on the phone or adjust your online order after it has been placed.

FREE ITEM Coupons
Current "free item" and "25% off" coupon images are attached below. Some are screen shots of digital coupons from HF or digital magazines and should be honored by all stores. Some are scans of printed coupons; those may be less widely honored.

it's a US mailed flyer.. he's checking his physical mailbox ;-) LMAO
I deliver mail for a living so I'll provide what input I can. From what I've noticed, every month 2 harbor freight mailings are sent out. The normal newspaper type material folded in half and addressed to the customer. I believe this is the normal one you get the second you give them your address. Has a front and back page of coupons, every day low prices in the filler. Very similar to the style of mailing cabelas sends out in terms of size and paper printed on. Next comes the smaller mailing that I used to think came only to ITC members. I had no idea what it was, until my lady got one in the mail this month. Filled with coupons, front to back. Not the lowest prices, but better than the normal ones. So I have no idea how one gets the coupon book instead of the catalog, but you guys might send someone in with other name, same address, and see what you get.

I sure wouldn't want to have your job because it would be hard for me to deliver that "junk" mail and just not throw a couple in my coat pocket instead. LOL

Standard mail i.e. flyers get junked to a recycle bin if the address is invalid and forwarding was not requested by sender.

That stuff was basically fair game when i worked as a carrier. Taking mail going to a valid receipient is illegal, what was going to the bin is kind of a grey area, atleast ethically.

Could rack up a lot of 10 of 50 lowes coupons and other good things. The bobs/staples 10 off 10, etc.

Also had an endless supply of the moving packets with lowes/hd coupons.

Yeah, so many people out on the route wanted change of address forms just for those coupons. Kind of happy they stopped putting them in those forms. And as far as it goes in my office, they make it pretty clear that borrowing a coupon out of the waste mail basket will get you canned with the quickness. And no coupon is worth risking my ridiculously easy job that pays way more than its worth, but I wish I had a more laid back office.

Guessing by how much you like the job you're city and or don't have a pom with head up their ass.

Ours was a micro managing nitwit. Policies on ordering a whole new set of labels if one address changed on the route in an apartment heavy town, scolding the post masters on confrence calls for hours worked on december mondays after a storm, praising them for the hours on low volume mid week days with good weather, and the list went on.

Yeah, that doesn't sound cool at all. And I'd hardly say I love my job, but I've certainly done worse work for a lot less pay. I'm a rural carrier, do my job and go home and keep getting paid for a couple hours most days. Hell, I'm posting this while still well under my evaluated time. But I do wish they were a bit more lenient with the things that just wind up in the waste bin.

In my experience, they usually jack the prices up before the sidewalk sale, or parking lot sale or whatever it is that's coming next weekend. I'd give it till Friday and see what the prices look like.

Flashlight
Screwdrivers
Multi meter
Gloves
Blue Rope
Scissors
Tape Measure

You know, the "normal" stuff from the past 6 months?

It would be nice if they changed it once in awhile.
They used to have a tarp for free that was my favortie one I wish they would bring that one back.
