Kohl's Specific:
A PRD is the 5 or 6 digit number in the kohls.com URL, unique to each product (basically an item number). There are two types: Regular and Catalog. Below is an example of each (in red):
BIS: Back in stock
SIS: Still in stock
OOS: Out of stock
WHAT IS A HIDDEN ITEM?
A hidden item is a clearance item that exists on the kohls.com website, but is not found on the public side of the site (where you'd normally find their products). A clearance item usually becomes "hidden" when it has sold out on the website, and a few come back into stock due to customer returns, etc. Although it comes back into stock, it's not re-listed publicly. There tends to be only one or a few of each item at any given time, and you'll typically see it go OOS immediately. Often, you'll see hidden items going in and out of stock several times. A hidden item is discovered by searching PRDs.
HOW CAN I HELP SEARCH FOR HIDDEN ITEMS?
The simplest way to do it is by changing the PRD number in the URL. Change the PRD to a different number (up to 5 or 6 digits) and hope for the best. While you will find many "The product or page you tried to access cannot be found." pages, you will eventually find items to share!
WHAT IS A SCT?
"SCT" is the acronym for "Saved Cart Trick" and refers to deals that actually lower in price simply by signing out of your cart, then back in. Note: This only works for certain items, so don't be discouraged if this method doesn't work for you.
To find SCT deals, you'll need to do the following on kohls.com:
1. Log into your account.
2. Add the desired item(s) to your cart/bag.
3. Log out of your account. You will be asked if you'd like to save your bag. Make sure to save your bag! (Alternately, you can save your bag while in your cart, then sign out).
4. Log back into your account.
5. Check your cart/bag. If it's an SCT deal, it will now be at a lower price.
Note: The SCT deals will show up a few different ways. Click here to see a screenshot of the different ways an SCT deal may appear.
WHAT IS KOHL'S CASH?
Kohl's Cash is a reward earned for meeting a specified purchase amount (usually $50), to be applied to a future Kohl's purchase within a specific timeframe. Kohl's Cash can be redeemed in-store and online at Kohls.com. Kohl's limits the redemption of Kohl's Cash certificates to 6 per transaction when purchasing online or via the Kohl's App, or 4 per transaction when utilizing an in-store kiosk.
Kohl's Cash will be deducted before any %-off total purchase discount, thereby lowering the total purchase amount, and possibly affecting a purchase's eligibility for free shipping (usually $75).
As a courtesy to customers, Kohl's will reward customers with Kohl's Cash if a purchase is within $1 of a $50 increment (after discounts and before tax); see the Kohl's Cash chart above for minimum pre-discount purchase amounts necessary to qualify for earning Kohl's Cash.

The fine print from Kohls:
Kohl's Cash is not legal tender. No cash back. Customer will receive a $10 Kohl's Cash® Coupon for the first $50 in purchases. An additional $10 in value will be added to the coupon for each additional $50 spent in that single transaction. Kohl's Cash® Coupon is earned on the amount of customer purchases after all applicable discounts are applied and before tax is imposed. Eligible customer purchases include sale-, regular- and clearance-priced merchandise, but exclude the purchase of Gift Cards. Offer may be redeemed with any other offer, but cannot be redeemed for cash. Kohl's Cash® will be applied prior to percent-off total purchase discounts. Kohl's Cash® Coupon may not be redeemed (1) to purchase Kohl's Cares® cause merchandise or other charitable items; (2) to reduce customer's Kohl's Charge or any third party charge account balance; (3) as price adjustments on prior purchases; or (4) to purchase Gift Cards. If merchandise purchased earning a Kohl's Cash® Coupon is subsequently returned or price adjusted, the value of the Kohl's Cash® Coupon previously earned and/or the amount of the merchandise refund may be reduced to reflect any unearned value. Return value of merchandise purchased with a Kohl's Cash® Coupon may also be subject to adjustment. Offer is not transferable.
KOHL'S CASH RETURN POLICY
There are three return periods when dealing with items that earned KC when purchased: EARNING, REDEMPTION, POST REDEMPTION.
EARNING: Returns made on purchases that earned KC will lose $10 KC for every $50 (pre-tax) increment dropped (e.g., $155 purchase pre-tax, returning $20 item will lose $10 KC from $30 total KC as the total is dropping below $150). Keep in mind that it's possible to combine receipts in-store.
REDEMPTION: There are three situations under the REDEMPTION period: Returning items/Kohl's Cash NOT USED, Returning items/Kohl's Cash PARTIALLY USED, and Returning items/Kohl's Cash USED.
NEW POLICY CHANGE: The option to take a store credit for full refund value to keep KC value is no longer an option.
WHAT IS KOHL'S RETURN POLICY?
Kohl's Hassle-Free Return Policy allows customers to return in-store and Kohls.com merchandise up to 180 days after the original purchase date.
Premium electronics [kohls.com] must be returned within 30 days of purchase, with the original packaging and a valid receipt or account lookup.
Exception: Premium electronics purchased between November 1 – December 25 may be returned through January 31 in original packaging with a valid receipt or account lookup.
Returning In-Store Purchases
Merchandise purchased in-store must be returned to any Kohl's store location. Kohl's is unable to process mail returns for in-store purchases. Take your original receipt to the Customer Service Desk to receive a refund or an even exchange.
A Kohl's Merchandise Credit, cash, or a Corporate Refund will be issued for items purchased by check; items returned with a Gift Receipt will receive a Kohl's Merchandise Credit or an even exchange.
Unable to Find the In-Store Receipt?
A Customer Service Representative may be able to locate the purchase to help process a refund. If not, you may still return the items as a non-receipted return, and will receive a Kohl's Merchandise Credit based on the lowest discounted 13-week sale price for the item(s) you are returning. Additional processing may be required.
Returning Kohls.com Purchases
Items purchased on Kohls.com can be returned at any Kohl's store location OR by returning the items via mail; however, shipping fees and surcharges are not refundable (unless your item was delivered damaged).
If there was an issue with your order, such as an item was missing, damaged, or you received incorrect merchandise, see here [kohls.com].
A packing slip, receipt, or copy of your order confirmation will help Kohl's process your return. If you have lost your packing slip and/or receipt, Kohl's may be able to locate a receipt by scanning your method of payment and the item you are trying to return.
Note: If the item you are returning was a clearance item (yellow-tag), or subsequently became a clearance item, it is possible for the item to have been purged from Kohl's computer system by the time you attempt your return. In such cases, Kohl's allows customers to do a no-receipt return, up to 3 times a year. For large no-receipt returns, Kohl's issues a corporate check in the mail.
THE PRICE HAS DROPPED. WILL KOHL'S DO A PRICE ADJUSTMENT?
Upon request, Kohl's offers price adjustments (refunds) to customers who purchase an item at its regular or sale price (NOT clearance price), if, within two weeks of that purchase, the item goes on sale at a lower price.
Note: You must contact Customer Service and request a price adjustment while the item is still at the further reduced price.

Note: Clearance items are not eligible for price adjustments. If an item you purchased goes on clearance (yellow tag) within two weeks of your purchase, it is possible to purchase the clearance item at the lower price, and return the non-clearance item with the higher priced receipt to the store.
HELP! MY CARD IS MAXED OUT. HOW CAN I STILL GET FREE SHIPPING?
A. Make a payment by 3:00 p.m., selecting TODAY as the effective payment date, and that amount of credit will be available immediately; or
B. Return merchandise purchased via your Kohl's card, thereby freeing up that portion of your available credit; or
C. Apply a Kohl's Gift Card to the purchase (ensure that you have selected and saved your Kohl's Charge Card as the default payment type, even though you will be utilizing the Gift Card for this purchase).
CAN I PURCHASE ONLINE AND PICKUP IN STORE?
Yes, if the item isn't on clearance and is in-stock at your local Kohl's. If the item is eligible for in-store pickup, it will show the pickup option with add to bag. You will need to enter your ZIP code to see all local stores and select a location for pickup. Pickup orders are typically ready within four hours. Orders placed after 5PM local time may not be ready until the next day. Orders are held for 7 days. Kohl's now ships select items to store.
WHAT IS C4C (CHECK FOR CHANGE) AND HOW DO I GET IT?
Check4Change (aka C4C) is a simple extension that allows you to periodically check a web-page for updates when you use FireFox. If set correctly, it will alert you when an item you are monitoring gets back in stock.

HOW DO I KNOW IF KOHL'S HAS UPDATED THEIR CLEARANCE SECTION AND WHERE DO I FIND IT?
Click on this link [kohls.com] .. Under 'refine matches: by department' click 'more departments'. You will now see the 'clearance' department with the number of clearance items listed behind it. Kohl's usually updates its website around 12:00 a.m. CT, at which time you will see a change in this number. Click on 'clearance' to see a full list of all clearance items.
IF I SIGN UP FOR KOHL'S CHARGE CARD, I GET 12 EXTRA SAVINGS OPPORTUNITIES PER YEAR. HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Once a month (twice, in March and August), Kohl's holds a 30%/20%/15% Cardholder Event with the opportunity to additionally earn Kohl's Cash. MVC customers (cardholders who spent at least $600 via Kohl's charge card in the previous calendar year) additionally can get free shipping on orders less than $75. In order to take advantage of the extra savings, purchases must be made via Kohl's charge card OR Kohl's gift card, as long as the Kohl's card is set as a default payment (even if it's not being utilized for a purchase). Previously, Kohl's offered cardholders 6 additional 15% off coupons per year, on a day of their choosing, within a limited time window; however, with recent changes, that may no longer be the case.
CAN MULTIPLE PERCENT-OFF DISCOUNT CODES OR COUPONS BE COMBINED?
Site-wide percent-off coupons are limited to one per purchase, but can be combined with percent-off coupons for department-specific items, such as 20% off shoes, jewelry, menswear, etc.
WHAT IS THE KOHL'S KIOSK?
The Kiosk is an interactive touch-screen system in stores, usually located by Customer Service, available for customers to order anything in-stock via Kohls.com. It is useful for finding sizes/colors/styles that the store may not have in-stock, printing Gift Registries, or for ordering anything from the website to get free shipping.

- You can tell the difference between a clearance and sale item on kohls.com by looking at the price. Sale items use the term "Sale", and clearance items use the term "Now"
- A sale item will say "Sale: $5.00" (for example).
- A clearance item will say "Now: $5.00" (for example).
- Clearance items are permanently reduced by 60%, 70%, 80% or 90%.
- Sale items are public.
- Clearance items can be public or hidden.
A PRD is the 5 or 6 digit number in the kohls.com URL, unique to each product (basically an item number). There are two types: Regular and Catalog. Below is an example of each (in red):
- Regular - kohls.com/kohlsStore/clearance/PRD~123456/kohls.jsp? (0-6 digits, from 10000-757400 and counting)
- Catalog - kohls.com/kohlsStore/clearance/PRD~c12345/kohls.jsp? (0-5 digits, from 1000-16000 and counting- note the "c" before the number)

WHAT IS A HIDDEN ITEM?
A hidden item is a clearance item that exists on the kohls.com website, but is not found on the public side of the site (where you'd normally find their products). A clearance item usually becomes "hidden" when it has sold out on the website, and a few come back into stock due to customer returns, etc. Although it comes back into stock, it's not re-listed publicly. There tends to be only one or a few of each item at any given time, and you'll typically see it go OOS immediately. Often, you'll see hidden items going in and out of stock several times. A hidden item is discovered by searching PRDs.
HOW CAN I HELP SEARCH FOR HIDDEN ITEMS?
The simplest way to do it is by changing the PRD number in the URL. Change the PRD to a different number (up to 5 or 6 digits) and hope for the best. While you will find many "The product or page you tried to access cannot be found." pages, you will eventually find items to share!
WHAT IS A SCT?
"SCT" is the acronym for "Saved Cart Trick" and refers to deals that actually lower in price simply by signing out of your cart, then back in. Note: This only works for certain items, so don't be discouraged if this method doesn't work for you.
To find SCT deals, you'll need to do the following on kohls.com:
1. Log into your account.
2. Add the desired item(s) to your cart/bag.
3. Log out of your account. You will be asked if you'd like to save your bag. Make sure to save your bag! (Alternately, you can save your bag while in your cart, then sign out).
4. Log back into your account.
5. Check your cart/bag. If it's an SCT deal, it will now be at a lower price.

WHAT IS KOHL'S CASH?
Kohl's Cash is a reward earned for meeting a specified purchase amount (usually $50), to be applied to a future Kohl's purchase within a specific timeframe. Kohl's Cash can be redeemed in-store and online at Kohls.com. Kohl's limits the redemption of Kohl's Cash certificates to 6 per transaction when purchasing online or via the Kohl's App, or 4 per transaction when utilizing an in-store kiosk.
Kohl's Cash will be deducted before any %-off total purchase discount, thereby lowering the total purchase amount, and possibly affecting a purchase's eligibility for free shipping (usually $75).
As a courtesy to customers, Kohl's will reward customers with Kohl's Cash if a purchase is within $1 of a $50 increment (after discounts and before tax); see the Kohl's Cash chart above for minimum pre-discount purchase amounts necessary to qualify for earning Kohl's Cash.

The fine print from Kohls:
Kohl's Cash is not legal tender. No cash back. Customer will receive a $10 Kohl's Cash® Coupon for the first $50 in purchases. An additional $10 in value will be added to the coupon for each additional $50 spent in that single transaction. Kohl's Cash® Coupon is earned on the amount of customer purchases after all applicable discounts are applied and before tax is imposed. Eligible customer purchases include sale-, regular- and clearance-priced merchandise, but exclude the purchase of Gift Cards. Offer may be redeemed with any other offer, but cannot be redeemed for cash. Kohl's Cash® will be applied prior to percent-off total purchase discounts. Kohl's Cash® Coupon may not be redeemed (1) to purchase Kohl's Cares® cause merchandise or other charitable items; (2) to reduce customer's Kohl's Charge or any third party charge account balance; (3) as price adjustments on prior purchases; or (4) to purchase Gift Cards. If merchandise purchased earning a Kohl's Cash® Coupon is subsequently returned or price adjusted, the value of the Kohl's Cash® Coupon previously earned and/or the amount of the merchandise refund may be reduced to reflect any unearned value. KOHL'S CASH RETURN POLICY
There are three return periods when dealing with items that earned KC when purchased: EARNING, REDEMPTION, POST REDEMPTION.
EARNING: Returns made on purchases that earned KC will lose $10 KC for every $50 (pre-tax) increment dropped (e.g., $155 purchase pre-tax, returning $20 item will lose $10 KC from $30 total KC as the total is dropping below $150). Keep in mind that it's possible to combine receipts in-store.
REDEMPTION: There are three situations under the REDEMPTION period: Returning items/Kohl's Cash NOT USED, Returning items/Kohl's Cash PARTIALLY USED, and Returning items/Kohl's Cash USED.
NEW POLICY CHANGE: The option to take a store credit for full refund value to keep KC value is no longer an option.
- Returning items/Kohl's Cash NOT USED: There are two options, full refund and KC. A full refund will result in your KC losing $10 KC for every $50 (pre-tax) increment unearned (e.g., $155 purchase pre-tax, returning $20 item will lose $10 KC from $30 total KC as the total is dropping below $150). The refund can then be processed out to original tender used or issued as store credit. The KC option will allow you to retain the KC value being lost by the return, however the KC amount being lost will be deducted from your refund. The refund can then be processed out to original tender used or issued as store credit.
NEW POLICY CHANGE: The option to take a store credit for full refund value to keep KC value is no longer an option. - Returning items/Kohl's Cash PARTIALLY USED: There are two options, refund or KC. Refund will have spent portion of the KC subtracted and the remainder cancelled (e.g., $55 purchase pre-tax, $10 KC earned and $5 spent. Returning $15 item drops below $50 increment, $5 subtracted from refund for $10 back and $5 remaining on KC is cancelled). KC will deduct the full KC amount from refund allowing the remaining KC to still be valid (e.g., $55 purchase pre-tax, $10 KC earned and $5 spent. Returning $20 item drops below $50 increment, $5 subtracted for spent portion, $5 remaining subtracted, refund is $10, KC is still $5). The refund can then be processed out to original tender used or issued as store credit.
- Returning items/Kohl's Cash USED: There is only one option, a refund with the according KC value spent subtracted, $10 subtracted for every $50 increment unearned. The value of the KC being deducted is in whatever item(s) you spent your KC on. The refund can then be processed out to original tender used or issued as store credit.
NEW POLICY CHANGE: The option to take a store credit and not lose value on return is no longer an option.
- Returning items/Kohl's Cash USED/PARTIALLY USED: There is only one option, a refund with the according KC value spent subtracted, $10 subtracted for every $50 increment unearned. Partially used KC will just subtract the value spent. The value of the KC being deducted is in whatever item(s) you spent your KC on. The refund can then be processed out to original tender used or issued as store credit.

WHAT IS KOHL'S RETURN POLICY?
Kohl's Hassle-Free Return Policy allows customers to return in-store and Kohls.com merchandise up to 180 days after the original purchase date.
Premium electronics [kohls.com] must be returned within 30 days of purchase, with the original packaging and a valid receipt or account lookup.
Exception: Premium electronics purchased between November 1 – December 25 may be returned through January 31 in original packaging with a valid receipt or account lookup.
Returning In-Store Purchases
Merchandise purchased in-store must be returned to any Kohl's store location. Kohl's is unable to process mail returns for in-store purchases. Take your original receipt to the Customer Service Desk to receive a refund or an even exchange.
A Kohl's Merchandise Credit, cash, or a Corporate Refund will be issued for items purchased by check; items returned with a Gift Receipt will receive a Kohl's Merchandise Credit or an even exchange.
Unable to Find the In-Store Receipt?
A Customer Service Representative may be able to locate the purchase to help process a refund. If not, you may still return the items as a non-receipted return, and will receive a Kohl's Merchandise Credit based on the lowest discounted 13-week sale price for the item(s) you are returning. Additional processing may be required.
Returning Kohls.com Purchases
Items purchased on Kohls.com can be returned at any Kohl's store location OR by returning the items via mail; however, shipping fees and surcharges are not refundable (unless your item was delivered damaged).

A packing slip, receipt, or copy of your order confirmation will help Kohl's process your return. If you have lost your packing slip and/or receipt, Kohl's may be able to locate a receipt by scanning your method of payment and the item you are trying to return.
Note: If the item you are returning was a clearance item (yellow-tag), or subsequently became a clearance item, it is possible for the item to have been purged from Kohl's computer system by the time you attempt your return. In such cases, Kohl's allows customers to do a no-receipt return, up to 3 times a year. For large no-receipt returns, Kohl's issues a corporate check in the mail.
THE PRICE HAS DROPPED. WILL KOHL'S DO A PRICE ADJUSTMENT?
Upon request, Kohl's offers price adjustments (refunds) to customers who purchase an item at its regular or sale price (NOT clearance price), if, within two weeks of that purchase, the item goes on sale at a lower price.
Note: You must contact Customer Service and request a price adjustment while the item is still at the further reduced price.
All of the following criteria must be met to be eligible:
- You bought the item on sale or at regular price.
- Within two weeks (14 days) of the purchase date, the price of the item was further reduced from the final price you paid.
- You have the original, dated sales receipt.
- The item is not a Clearance markdown.
- The item is not Kohl's Cares cause merchandise.
- The item was not purchased as a Buy One, Get One (BOGO).
- The item is not a current Buy One, Get One (BOGO).

- Previous purchases are not eligible for price adjustments during the week of Thanksgiving and the week following.

You will need to enter your ZIP code to see all local stores and select a location for pickup. Pickup orders are typically ready within four hours. Orders placed after 5PM local time may not be ready until the next day. Orders are held for 7 days. Kohl's now ships select items to store.
WHAT IS C4C (CHECK FOR CHANGE) AND HOW DO I GET IT?
Check4Change (aka C4C) is a simple extension that allows you to periodically check a web-page for updates when you use FireFox. If set correctly, it will alert you when an item you are monitoring gets back in stock.

HOW DO I KNOW IF KOHL'S HAS UPDATED THEIR CLEARANCE SECTION AND WHERE DO I FIND IT?
Click on this link [kohls.com] .. Under 'refine matches: by department' click 'more departments'. You will now see the 'clearance' department with the number of clearance items listed behind it. Kohl's usually updates its website around 12:00 a.m. CT, at which time you will see a change in this number. Click on 'clearance' to see a full list of all clearance items.
IF I SIGN UP FOR KOHL'S CHARGE CARD, I GET 12 EXTRA SAVINGS OPPORTUNITIES PER YEAR. HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Once a month (twice, in March and August), Kohl's holds a 30%/20%/15% Cardholder Event with the opportunity to additionally earn Kohl's Cash. MVC customers (cardholders who spent at least $600 via Kohl's charge card in the previous calendar year) additionally can get free shipping on orders less than $75. In order to take advantage of the extra savings, purchases must be made via Kohl's charge card OR Kohl's gift card, as long as the Kohl's card is set as a default payment (even if it's not being utilized for a purchase). Previously, Kohl's offered cardholders 6 additional 15% off coupons per year, on a day of their choosing, within a limited time window; however, with recent changes, that may no longer be the case.

It is useful for finding sizes/colors/styles that the store may not have in-stock, printing Gift Registries, or for ordering anything from the website to get free shipping.
- You must have an email address (for Kohl's to send order/shipping confirmations and any earned KC to)
- Kohl's Charge/Credit Cards/Merchandise Credit/Gift Cards are accepted (if you only have cash, figure out the total cost and buy a gift card for the exact amount)
- Kohl's Charge Cardholders using Express Checkout will have billing/shipping info automatically filled out with account information (will prompt for last 4 digits of SSN for security)
- Up to 2 promo codes may be entered at checkout; shipping is free.
- Up to 4 Kohl's Cash certificates may be redeemed per purchase
- You cannot log into your Kohls.com account from the kiosk
- You cannot access SCTs from the kisok
- Scan an item's barcode to pull up that item on the kiosk and see all available sizes and colors

The easiest way to see if someone else already has posted an item you are ready to post is to click on "search this thread" (upper right corner on your screen), and then put just the PRD # in the search box. If the results show other posts/replies, then it is a repost.
These threads retire often, and new ones begin in their place. You can see if the item's ever been posted on SD by entering the PRD in the keyword search box (above the "Quick Links" and "Log Out" links in the upper right hand corner of your screen).
