I know , if the quality is not up to snuff , you can always return it at your local fed ex.. I am guessing it is in-line with most $100 guitars... some will be better than others. I picked up a spectrum acoustic guitar from kohls for $25 , I was able to pick through about 8-10 different guitars , and it's pretty sweet for a cheap (campfire) guitar .

This is a very entry level guitar, but it will work. It compares with the $80 - $100 guitars sold at department stores, but will not be as good as the $100 Epiphone or Jasmine guitars at Musicians Friend that are sometimes on sale for $80. Still, this is half the price of those guitars and is better than the guitars that some famous musicians started with.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Loueke

Lionel Loueke grew up in poverty in the west African country of Benin. It took him a year to earn the $50 he needed to buy his first guitar. However, he could not afford to replace the strings, which had to be special ordered from Nigeria. Instead, he soaked his strings in vinegar to keep them clean. When the strings broke, he had to replace them with bicycle brake cables which were very hard on his fingers. Then when the neck of his guitar had to be reset, he was unable to find a luthier to do the repairs. Instead, he went to a local carpenter, who did a poor quality repair job and made his guitar even more difficult to play.

Julia bought John Lennon his first guitar in 1957, which was a Gallotone Champion acoustic (a cheap model that was "guaranteed not to split").

This guitar should be better than those, so I say - if it is all you can afford - go for it.

Seems like a very low end guitar. I wish I would be able to play it first before I bought it. Might be worth the money as a nice beater guitar to throw in the car for road trips
