I had a creepy experience in Raleys. I walked in, grabbed a basket and went over to the Lotto machine. This woman leans in while I'm trying to feed my dollar and ask if I'm going to play it. She's kind of strange, so I grabbed my money, told her to go for it and walked away. She follows me and asks why I hurt her mother. I asked what are you talking about?

She gets up in my face and says I threatened her mother. So I got mad and said who the f*** is your mother. Then she walks off and I go down the aisle and she apologizes and says that I'm not the one. She said that she was Julie and her mother was Lorraine somebody. So I said okay. I go down the next aisle and she gets up in my face with a big smile. I ignore her and keep walking. Then she follows me and accuses me of hurting her mother. Then she again says she sorry that I'm the wrong person. Then I hear her tell another customer that I hurt her mother.


At this point, I'm getting freaked and ask the cashier to get me help to carry my two items out. They call down the manager and apparently the woman has been hanging out in the store for a couple hours and had even been in the backroom screaming.


I left, so I don't know what happened. But why in the world had they let her hang out for a couple hours without doing something.


Maybe I've watched too many movies, but I wonder if she did something to her mother or something. Really weird.

learned that 3 day ad items don't get rainchecks. They should really put that in the ad
I went to one store, which was OOS and they didn't know if it was all stores or just theirs with this policy. Called another & they told me it was company policy. So shop Fridays!

I was taken aback when I bought my yogurt. I managed to find 8 unexpired cartons-dated 1/17. There were about 2 doz. more dated 12-10-12. I pulled them off the shelf, told a clerk up front who didn't bat an eye or appear to tell anyone.
I went to this Lucky b/c they seemed a little classier & cleaner, and I can use Qs in SCO w/o any intervention. Standing @ SCO isn't easy right now, and most Lucky I have to have each Q approved after it's scanned.
Last time OEP fat free refried beans didn't qualify for promo, this time there was a sign under them & they worked. I did SCO to be sure each item actually worked.

yeah, somebody needed to be called. It's kind of touchy dealing with someone obviously mentally ill, but you deserved protection.

My Safeway didn't have any of "Ten" sodas that are supposed to be free. Have other's found these in nor cal?

Yes, but supply is extremely limited.
This has to be one of the worst promos by Safeway.

No, and I've been to three stores (not specifically for the sodas, just needed to grocery shop three times this week in different places). Definitely annoying.

Neither. The cashier asked if I found everything I needed. I said I couldn't find any of the Ten soda. He asked if I could be back before Tuesday because they would be restocked. I said no and he said that they probably weren't supposed to do rainchecks but he pulled the pad out and started writing. I didn't ask for one but I sure as heck wouldn't turn it down.

yes, petaluma store had them before the promo started, i think around 12/29, near the refrigerated dairy in a 4-tier bin. .25/ea
