Mod Edit: This will become the new Northern California Grocery Stores Thread.

Thank you to missusg and mcube for starting up threads for the individual stores for Northern California.

Due to how the timestamp works - it is with apologies to mcube (who started the Lucky thread) that your post is now #141 -- When a thread is merged the posts go in timestamp order.

Please note that there is a 30 day rule for reps -- so any post greater than 30 days old cannot be repped.

This message to remain for the next 24 hours so that our NoCal users can get used to this. Smilie

Heads up folks! I just got a free turkey at WinCo. They aren't advertising it, but if you spend $75 in groceries, you get a free Jennie O turkey. I was expecting to pay $0.38/lb for a $50 purchase, but the cashier let me know once you go over $75 it's free! Smilie

Fresh & Easy is also offering a free turkey with $30 purchase. I've never shopped there, but this might be worth it.

Wow, that's certainly generous of them and a great deal since other places are $25 min purchase and you still have to pay 59c/lb for a turkey. Thanks for letting us know.

In other news, Raley's is offering these freebies, nice! I was sure they'd stop the freebies once the strike ended, so I hurriedly bought more Silk soymilk (with the $2 IPQs) and use my $5/20 CAT to get the water/flour/salad freebie, but these new ones are yummier, lol... BTW, if anyone here doesn't drink/use Silk soy/almond/etc. products and want to trade, I'm always looking for Silk IPQs (higher value ones that come around once in a while). Smilie

Also wanted to mention that I was at Bel-Air getting the freebies and using my CAT and an old lady (she's in her 70s or older) had a grocery cart pretty full. Her package of chicken was like $9.xx already, so I could tell she'd qualify for the freebies but there were no signs whatsoever, so I told her about them and got the water for her and she went and got the flour and salad. She was grateful to be told about the freebies. Smilie It was nice to help out an older person 'cuz I believe a lot of them live on fixed income and could certainly use some free grocery. Smilie Happy Friday! Stay dry everyone!

waveRejoyce! Aww...that's so kind of you. I know a lot of older folks who still don't have a computer, much less have email accounts. I've only seen these deals advertised through emails, and nothing posted in my stores either. Rather unfair, but maybe Raley's way of testing marketing. I agree, I think "most" of us can use some free groceries these days.

Aww, I just happen to see her cart full of grocery and wanted her to get free stuff... I'm all about everyone getting free stuff, lol...

Question for SW shopping experts: I have $1.00 off
    Open Nature Pita Chips
8-oz. one-time expires 11/18/2012 on hubby's card (he also had the 50% off bread for awhile, that was wonderful... lol, but no more, anyone else still have % off bread on their SW card?), I wonder if the code will work on this in addition? Wink

yes, that was great, i got 6 soy milks + all the freebies (had to pay CRV on the water, but that enabled me to just buy 6 instead of 7 soymilks) for $3.94, after the $5/$20 CAT. Big Grin

hug - I hope I find someone like you when I'm that age

Didn't expect any freebies and already went to NH this morningWeeping
Just a HU if you're buying Lowe's, TRU GCs and using the $20CAT
    It reduces your threshhold Frown
Yesterday I bought GC and was in a hurry so grabbed a $35 ham (10 oop) and my freebies. My total was about $20, which I questioned. Turns out that scanning the $20 CAT made them un-free.
Today in SCO I bought $25 plus $3.99 turkey. When I scanned $20 CAT, turkey became $17xx! I had them take it off, but SM came by and manually keyed it in 3.99.

The GC deal is one/day. Ive done it 3 times so far, and plan to do 2 more. CAT is good thru Dec 11 and amounts to free groceries if you were planning to spend the $$ anyway
Hubs had already earmarked for $440 purchase @ Lowes, got pre-approved rebate for $250.
About $475 with tax, paid with GCs is almost $100 free groceries.
475 - 250-$95= $130 for 2 new ...um.. commodes. Only would be better if they were bidets too. Can't talk hubs into that expense laugh out loud

    *****
    Sprouts:
Immaculate choc/peppermint cookies were 2.51 with 25% sale -1/2 IP or mq
The ad shows rasp/blackberries on sale 1.25 but blueberries were same price (unless I missed them in ad)
Couldn't get the Arrowhead Mills Q so couldn't test SQ/MQ together.

    WF:
3 frozen items, 3 Qs in single transaction not a problem. I printed Q to PDF and wasn't sure if it was allowed multi-use. But don't see any unique code. Freezer won't hold more.
got my Brown Cow greek-yowza, 10 gr fat!! I'm bringing some snacks to neighborhood cleanup tomorrow so adding them to the pile.
Was going to get bananas @ SW with my produce discount but see that I don't have .49 JFU price anymore, on any card.

CVS: Rejoyce told me she had a 7-day ad for next week, and I do too! So the hot deals go all week instead of 4 days like the rest of the country, and overlap with BF not-so-hot ad. I asked today and we will get a BF ad on top of the 7 day.

aww, thanks. hug I have kind of an anti-establishment/anti-corporation mentality even though I know Raley's is a family own local store, I'm still more for us little people getting freebies than them keeping their freebies... and w/o coupons, man, Raley's/BA/NH, sooo expensive! I'd never shop there w/o coupons, I'd be at FoodsCo/WinCo/FoodSource etc.

Wow, WF brown cow yogurt that's a lot of fat! My mom's JFU has the 3/10 which is pretty good w/her Pistachio bogo and 50c Q's for the Wonderful brand comes out to like $3.50 a lb, not too bad...

She also has 45c/49c/lb banana on her card, I think... What would you buy with the bananas to get to $10 that's a good deal this week?

Thanks for Sprouts blueberry info, we missed SW's blueberry on 1 card, this is even a better deal $1.25 for 6(?) oz box? I missed their 3/$1 avocadoes sale last week, doh! Facepalm

Just a note on the Brown Cow, they have lots of whole milk varieties, but they do have low-fat versions. Just haven't seen it in the Greek yet, and every store carries only certain parts of their line... especially local to me.

I had to report that I was actually SUCCESSFUL in getting SW to price match they free turkey offer from Fresh & Easy. I was so shocked because the EG/Laguna store has been pretty unfriendly in the past. I think they have a new manager Wink I did have to purchase $30 after coupons, but I got a 20# turkey for free. Yay!

I went to SW last night, and purchased 2 men's dove got $2 cat (mm) worked - as described in SW Thread and TFF. But the purchasing 2 McCormick's Gourmet Spices did not get a cat.
(reading the SW thread, seems like you need 13.5oz or more for the Gourmet cat- I didn't notice my bottle sizes, I will review tonight)
