So theres no problem with using 10 MQ's for 10 items in 1 transaction at FD, but the register won't accept more then 1 FDQ per transaction?

Hi all! Just wanted to give a quick update- just went shopping at Family Dollar and they have some great buys right now- to name a few specifics:

Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups are $1.60

Sunsilk Shampoo and Conditioner 2 packs are 3.50* (so called "BOGO, but you might be able to get away with a Buy 2/get X amt. off)

*these actually rang up for me at $3! this could be a VERY slick deal if you had a coupon....unfortunately i've been slacking on picking up my sunday paper because i've been so busy....by the time i remember, it's monday morning!!

They also have small throw rugs and welcome mats- originally $5, marked down to $1.50. I picked up a cute raffia and denim woven rug and a plain beige throw rug (i love to use them for the kitchen, right by the sink...who can really tell they are welcome mats anyway? haha)


this was at a Family Dollar in Poughkeepsie, NY, so YMMV definitely- but it's worth keeping an eye out for!!!

Family Dollar coupons don't have a barcode, so they can't scan them. If they aren't scanning manufacturer coupons, it is out of habit most likely. When I use coupons at the store by my house (also the one I service as a merchandiser), they key in the FD coupon and then scan the MF coupon.

I wanted to add that new peelies are being put on the Hefty Trash bags this week. They are actually the same barcode as the peelies put on a few months back, but I am sure new stock has come in without peelies, so more are being put on. The peelies are for $1 off "this package of Hefty Waste Bags" and they expire 3/31/10. From experience, I know these peelies are coded just for the Hefty brand, not for type or size. They work great with the $1.02 Hefty storage bags 22ct Target sells.

The $1 off dawn tear pads coupons make the Dawn .30. Good deal if you need Dawn. My store didn't have any canned Iams, but I was thinking some stores might because there was already a coupon good until the end of the year for $2 off 4lb bags of Iams, so why bother having a $2 off ANY Iams coupon right next to it? But then again, when did companies start making sense?

Does anyone know the price of the Snuggle (to go w/ this weeks coupon) and the price of Surf?
