Family Dollar accepts the following types of coupons:
• Family Dollar Coupons with scan-able bar code
(with valid promotion code to be used if coupon won’t scan)
• Manufacturer Coupons with scan-able bar code
(cents off; no hand written values, no photo copies)
• No Free merchandise Coupons
(Except buy one get one free or other combinations that require a purchase)
• Manufacturers Buy-One-Get-One-Free coupons or other combinations of
buy X and get Y
• Internet Coupons (both Manufacturer & Family Dollar) with scan-able bar code only.
• Soft drink bottle caps

• Family Dollar only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell (including the correct
size) and only when presented at time of purchase.
• Family Dollar doesn’t accept coupons from other retailers.
• If a coupon states that it is good for any product, you may use the coupon for any
product even if it is not pictured, unless the coupon states otherwise.
• Coupons must have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates.
Family Dollar will not accept expired coupons.
• Multiple coupons may be used within one transaction. There is a limit of two coupons
per item. You may use one Family Dollar coupon along with one Manufacturer’s
coupon for the same item, as long as neither coupon states that it is not valid with
other coupons.
• There is no cash back if face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of
the item; in that case, Family Dollar will adjust the value of the coupon to equal the
price of the item.
• Internet coupons must be legible and say “Family Dollar Coupon” or “Manufacturer
Coupon”. There must be a valid remit address for the manufacturer coupon and a
scan-able bar code. No internet coupons for “Free” goods will be accepted that do
not require a purchase.
• Internet coupons must have a scan-able barcode or valid promotion code in order to
be redeemed.
• If an internet coupon does not scan or if the Family Dollar promotion code entered is
not valid, the coupon will not be accepted.
• A store manager can and should refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet any or
all of these requirements.

I went yesterday and did the Kotex Pantiliner deal and Bandaids. My bandaids were a $1.10 making them .10 for me with the $1.00 coupon. Only problem I got 2 pantiliners and 2 bandaids and had coupons for all them. She had to break the transaction up because she said it wouldn't let me do duplicates. I said fine. It came to .55 for each transaction and I paid with my debit card, the second transaction wouldn't go through on the debit card because it said duplicate order. So I paid cash for the second transaction. I'm thinking Family Dollar won't be a good place to do more then one coupon per purchase, around here at least. Still a good deal. The greased lightning was too expensive, so I will be checking out Dollar General on that deal.

all you had to do with the duplicate order is to add something for cheap like .33 chips and it will go through.

I know the Family Dollars around me (southern New Jersey) don't have a clue about manufacturer's coupons. They take them but it takes a lot of "coaching" on my part laugh out loud Did they just recently start accepting them or something?

Yeah, the lady that rang me up was shocked. She asked me where I got the coupons and I told her the Sunday paper. It was like she never seen a coupon before. I'm not sure about if they just started taking them. It was my first trip because of this thread.

I don't usually shop there, but might--we need bandaids. Is this a reg. price or a limited time thing? Thanks.
Regular price here in East TN. Those $1 coupons I think are getting ready to expire so use them before you lose them!

I did the Cascade and Electrasol there before my Electrasol Qs expired, the cascades were $3.25 and Electrasols were $3, got 10 of each, SM said no to coupons due to getting my order "too cheap", "DMs in back, he says no" I asked ot speak to DM, he came out (looked like he was 15) got the standard "one per purchase" crap, suggested he call home office for clarification. He came back 10 min later and said, "wow, I guess you can use these." SM, ass man and DM all got educated that day~~hopefully no more troubles at Family Dollar Wink
