Hannaford is a chain of gorcery stores located in MA, ME, NH, NY and VT.
They don't double coupons or have many awesome catalina deals or even sales, but they often have better regular prices than the other grocery stores around.
Not sure how much interest this thread will have, but I will update it with weekly sales and deals and hopefully coupon match ups.
Any help and input is welcome!!

Their website HERE [hannaford.com] (sometimes they offer coupons on there)
They also participate in Upromise, the info is HERE [hannaford.com] on their site (left side, bottom of the page under services). You can also visit the Upromise site HERE [upromise.com].

I asked Tom about that, he said they had done COTM for awhile and then stopped. He started the WOTM and used to write a letter about it, now the Gallo people just do it and the wine choices are pretty sad.

I'm so sick of the Hannaford in Kennebunk. The people rarely smile, they don't know how to handle legit Qs, and the lines are long. I get out of Shaw's faster, it seems that they'll call people from other parts of the store to help if there are more than a couple of people in line. I've been driving the extra 10 minutes to Shaw's just because the experience is so much more pleasant.
Thats why I stopped reading the e-mails...it was always either crap I don't drink or still super expensive ($30+) picks for wine....I drink the same brands all the time. Every year we pick up a couple bottles of Vampire in white and red (which reminds me I need to stop after work and grab this years if I can find some), and maybe something that looks decent on sale, plus sweet red from Liberty Creek/Barefoot/Sutter. We've bought others over the years but either I'm not sophisticated enough or not enough of a wine person as they just don't appeal to me. I still have a fancy bottle of wine from DH's job ($50+) he got for Xmas a couple years ago we just haven't bothered to open...would hate to open it and hate it at the price...would ruin the illusion that its the cheapness that makes the wine icky...lol.

Wine is something that price doesn't matter as much.

As far as Hannaford goes (and service of any store), any single location can be a hit or miss I guess. Employees are very friendly at my store and Hannies is much better than the Market Basket located .5 mile around the corner in terms of service; I have a lady at the fish counter who knows me very well and have had some friendly conversations in produce and the deli.

If you're looking for a good, cheap white wine, I recommend the Pinecroftt chardonnay -- if you like a lean white that goes with food. It's not overly oaked like many CA chards. And it's a chard, so not sweet. This is a Hannaford private label that DH worked with the winemaker to develop. Don't bother with the Pinecroft reds, though -- they're not very good. Price ranges form 3.50 - 4.50 depending on Hannaford's whim.

Hannaford.com also lists a parmesan for $5.49 for York and a couple other locations....not sure if its a wedge though.

Oooops, the peelie was $1 off any Dofino cheese, so you can use it on all varieties. It is a small blue peelie.

Check your local Walmarts - they might have the peelies on the Dofino Havarti. Good luck! $3/lb after the peelies is a nice price for the Edam and the Havarti. The Havarti was $5/8oz at Walmart, so $10/lb...

Nice price! Its an awesome price! I used to buy that cheese once in a while for $4.99, love it. They don't seem to carry many varieties of havarti up here, but the Dofino is definitely the best. Hannaford is the only store I know of that has a havarti with dill at the deli, its pretty good too.

I love the havarti at dill too and you can't go wrong when they put it on sale at $5.99/lb (in MA).
