Thread Details

Hi Guys,

I just bought Ariens 42 In. Deck 19 HP Kohler Engine Automatic Tractor (Model A19KH42) at HOME DEPOT yesterday. Home Depot website says 1299 but it actually has a 1199 price tag in store and rings 1199 at the register. Plus you get 10% off with Lowes or HD coupon which brings it to 1097+tax. You get Free Blades for life (every year as long as you own the mower) I really liked it. It gets good reviews and it is an American brand which has been in commercial side of this business since 1930s.

Good Luck. nod

Below is the info from Home Depot website regarding the deal:

Holy cow. Why on earth would you need a new set of blades every year? It just seems incredibly wasteful. I never change my blades, just sharpen them about once a year or so. You can sharpen them hundreds of times before they need to be replaced.

Haha, that's kind of what I was thinking. I mean if they were free you might as well take them and sell them, but it seems like a strange promotion. It'd be smart if one of the big chains would offer one free sharpening a year or something like that.

I'm not sure about this promo, but other deals I've seen with free parts for life means you pay the inflated s/h

So I took advantage of this deal, and when I asked for the paperwork for the warranty, the lackey at Home Depot told me I need to register online for the deal. I've searched for an hour now, no such page exists.

Does ANYONE have a link on where I can get my free blades?
