Unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. It has been a few years since that worked. They now will charge $10 if you do not keep the premium for 30 days.

Existing customer here, with 4 months left on the contract. Looking to upgrade from SD to HD. After 5 calls, this is the best they'd do --

HD DVR $99 + $19 shipping
$10 credit per month for 12 months (the guy couldn't get this to go through so ended up doing an upfront credit of $120 to the account)

Not great, but what can you do? After 5 calls, I just wanted to get it overwith.

You are incorrect. After the website changed now you just have to hit cancel on the premium you have. Then it will show the option of exchanging with any of the others, and the side it explains that you can't CANCEL for 30 days, but you can exchange between them at any time since you are already paying for one. I just switched from hbo to showtime for this weekend since it was a free preview on hbo and had no problems with the "exhange" button but it took a while to take effect for some reason even though it emailed me right away saying it was changed (never took but a few seconds before).

You are probably right. But, like myself, most people that used to do this did not subscribe to any premium and used that method. Unfortunately that does not work for folks that don't subscribe to a premium. Thanks for the clarification.

Oh, I did not know you meant that, but if you subscribe you one you are able to exchange it for any of the others while only paying for one of them. Only problem with this for me is if 2 good fights come on hbo and showtime at the same time otherwise with shows and what not they repeat all through the week so I can watch something on hbo on sunday, and switch to showtime and watch whatever then. Did not have to worry about this until a couple weeks ago when my 6months free showtime ran out

No, it will only work if you subscribe to one of them. If you pay for one you can change to any of the others, but only like once a day. As far as boxing, just check hbo/showtime saturday nights in the guide to see if any fights are coming on, or check the boxing schedule on their websites. I can't wait for the calzaghe/hopkins fight next month. There have been some excellent fights in the last month, esp. vazquez/marquez, and that was a non ppv showtime fight.
