Welcome to the NEW Official Giant Food (DC, DE, MD, VA) Deals thread! Smilie

This thread is for the Giant Food stores located in Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. For those in PA, WV, along the I-81 corridor (around Winchester to Waynesboro) in VA, and Hagerstown/Eldersburg, MD please check out the Giant of Carlisle PA based chain's SD thread, Official GiantPA (PA, MD, VA, and WV) Thread.

I'm a man with limited time and will do what I can to keep this thread going the best way I know how. I can't do it alone so... If ANYONE has an interest in helping to post flyer/coupon matchups (or even just one or the other) or just sweeping the posts for other matchups, sales, coupons, or catalina deals to copy to the Wiki with credits given to the posters, PLEASE let me know. You will be aptly recognized (repped) for your assistance.

I know we are going through some growing pains now that we have our own Giant thread. Let's work together to make this one of the top threads on SD!

Thanks,
Kevin

I bought one 12 roll and two 8 roll TP. My total was $56.xx and it dropped $1.75 after all coupons/discounts. Cashier at SCO came over to me to check how my OOP is too low, she checked all the coupons/discounts on screen and she printed my duplicate receipt from machine when I was done there.

If you have the right IPs/insert q, look for these great fillers from 75% Xmas clearance but still rings up PSP before card:
-Betty Crocker mint chocolate chip cookie mix $.75 and looks like we had .60/1 IPs NLA, .40/1 or .75/2 mq from 12/9SS
-Nestle tollhouse holiday morsels $1.24 I think .. not sure of qs
-Carnation Chocolate cream pie $1.24 and .50/1 mq in 10/28RP
-Libby pumpkin bread kit $1.24 and .50/1 mq in 10/28RP
Lots of other cool things like cake pop sticks for 50c

wtharicot?! why was that cashier so nosy...what alerted them anyway? Remember to hit the payment key after scanning your card to shut that SCO up ...because it will be so annoying and read every single discount Bash. Thanks, I'll probably get 12ct or 24ct pack so I can use the $1/1 IPs

so odd today my $.75/1 Beech-nut stage 4 and the $.50/1 Chicken of the see didn't double even though I made sure to scan the UPC barcode both starting w/ a 5 Confused (found out the hard way the SCO I had didn't read GS1...the one time I don't check before scanning my stuff Facepalm)

I bought 4 BC fruit snacks and a gallon of milk and nothing came off my order and no milk CAT. Scanned card first, nothing else in my order, not even a bag credit. Got refund for price of milk ($3.99) at CS.

They worded it strangely, IIRC, and implied that you would get a cat when it was an instant savings deal. Weird. This week (Friday January 25th) there's another instant milk savings deal and it's for $3.50 off rather than the full price of milk Frown Should be an ok deal though with the 75c IPQs for Multi Grain PB cheerios.

Found some cat announcements yesterday:

1/28-2/24
Buy 1 Campbell's Go Soup get $1 oyno, Buy 2 or more and get $1.50 OYNO.

There are $1 tear pad Qs at a stand-alone display for these soup pouches and the sign said $2.50 real deal I think? Makes sense to buy these one at a time.

Buy 3 Del Monte Canned tomatoes 14.5 oz or larger get $1 OYNO
Buy 4 get $1.25
Buy 6 get $2 OYNO

These are 10 for $10 this week and I believe there are 50c/2 IPQs somewhere? Nice stock up price combined with the OYNO.

Buy 3 Campbells 100% Natural Cans & get $1.50 OYNO
Buy 4 and get $2.00 OYNO
BUy 5 or more and get $2.50 OYNO

Remember these catalinas should start MONDAY(1-28) so wait until then to try them!

Yes! Last Sunday's SS insert was in yesterday's Alex Times. So I guess we are back to getting them after the fact, which is not as good as getting them early but much better than having to PAY for them! laugh out loud

I'm sick and mobile so ill be a little short with you. It has been discussed here and it is a slow thread...the S&S thread has been partying with these qs for month and sharing all their tips. I havent tried this week but past weeks the total needed to be $20 before the last superQ was scanned.
Do watch out on the cantaloupe and make sure to use the produce lookup function at sco rather then type in the code on the sticker. There serms to a be a lot of different codes on the fruit and not all of them work with the Sq....thanks Tatka for the HU!

I bought $25 worth of products before qs.

If you buy cantaloupe, just key in 4050 and it will work like a charm with a q.

Beech Nut Fruit Blends Pouches are on sale for $1.25 and there is a $0.75 IP for any Stage 4 product.

Rudis glutenfree bread is on sale for $3.99 and there is a $2 IP on their Facebook page.

Did two transactions with 4 SB diet bars to reach $20 PSP:
Mayo: $5.49-$3.61-$2.50 = -$0.62
Trop Juice $3.99-$2.11-$1.00 = $0.88
Oreo $4.45-$2.57-$1.45 = $0.43
Cantaloupe $3.99-$2.50-$1.99 = -$0.50
4 SB bar $3.19-$3 MQ- $1.19= -$4.00
1 Milk $3.99
Paid $0.48.
Did 3rd transaction with 3 SB bars,1 bread $2.99 and paid $0.42. I keyed in 4049 for cantaloupe and it also worked.

Cereal and milk deal is doubling (i.e. you can do more than one set of 3 and a gallon of milk in one transaction) and nice surprise, it's taking off $3.99 rather than $3.50 for milk. This is the best deal on milk + cereal that I've seen at Giant in a long time. OF course, I mean if you purchase Multi Grain with pb because of the 75c IPQ at coupons.com.

Has anybody tried Cheerios Medley and/or PB Toast crunch with the milk to see if it works? Its on sale for $3 but it was also on sale last week. I'm weary of going to CS if it doesn't work since it's not in the ad.
