I have an amazon gift certificate for $150 but won't be needing it. What is the best way to cash it out?
Sell it on ebay, buy something on Amazon and sell it on ebay, etc? I don't think I can use it to buy other gift cards on Amazon, or I would do that. Any ideas? Thanks.

Reduce it by 50% and sell it to me! Laugh
Ebay coupons and gift certificates seem to go for very close to face and sometimes even more if the bidder has a % off coupon.

did you already add it to your account? i don't think you can do anything if you did. amazon sells everything...i'm sure can find something you need.

no buying GCs with GCs on Amazon. They are very good at preventing that.

If I were to sell it on ebay, what is to keep a buyer from saying that the code did not work? Then I would be out the money! Is there any threads on selling/buying on ebay here or another website for help? Thanks.

that's a big risk you have to take. lots of auctions have AS-IS as part of it.

AS-IS won't matter if Paypal sides with the buyers all the time. That, plus a lot buyers don't look at descriptions.

Don't forget, there's final value fees, Paypal fees, and listing fee. Your $150 would probably turn into $130-140 after fees or something.

I actually got screwed by paypal for selling a virtual item (amazon gift card). They told me that virtual items are not covered and therefore they will side with the buyer 100% of the time. It took me hours of calling paypal to finally get my money back. I would say if you are going to do it, write it down and send it to them with delivery confirmation instead of emailing it. Just my two cents

I started out reading forums and just getting a feel for the site. They have "eBay Bibles" that show you how to get started, but usually gets outdated every time they update something.

I think personal experience is 1 of the best ways to learn something.

The best way is that you should find something with rebates to redeem your Amazon gift card. I hope that helpsnod

Are there places that let you use a gift card to buy gift cards?
