No. This is a percussion massager and what you had was likely a wand-style vibration massager. Percussion and vibration are very different types of massage therapy. The vibration-based equivalent of the Theragun is a Hypervolt. Both are relatively intense compared to traditional massagers.

These are designed more for use on others rather than self-use (short handles/gun grip design). Unless you have someone else to apply one of these to your back, I'd recommend a wand-style back massager (vibration) like you had. The Theragun is fantastic on the back (legs, feet, arms too). But, it's simply not designed well for self-application like the wand massagers.
FYI, Here is a better deal at bed bath and Beyond: mini $139.99 Prime $199.99

My personal opinion: I have compared the Elite and Prime side by side. The Prime has more than adequate power and I find it hard to stall it even with 30lb of force vs the 40lbs on the Elite. Elite has some nice extras like a screen and being able to program it but I don't think they're really useful in real-world applications.

Slickdeals plugin offering up to 2.5% back from target.com

Amazon has these products at the same sale price as Target currently, but if you have the red card you can get the additional 5% off that these prices reflect.

I have an old school cord massager, but it shot last week.

If I get this would I get the same feeling ?

No long handle, so it'll be tough to reach my back, so I get that part. TIA

I get a much deeper massage with my percussive massagers than I ever got with a corded type, which always seemed to emphasize vibration rather than deep tissue work.

The Hypervolt is also a percussion massager. It's literally the main text on the Hyperice landing page (https://hyperice.com/products/)

If you're looking for a longer handle and don't mind corded - this is a decent choice at a much lower price point (note: I paid $28 for this in Nov 2019, price seems to have gone up):

Why does it expire the 20th, strange. I'm going to gamble and hold off in hopes some other retailers undercuts it to $250 or so for the Elite.

Never even heard of Reatthlete before just now. As far as I know, Threragun and Hyperice are the legit brands. Looking at Reathhlete it seems like one of those scam websites with peoples' names who just purchased one are popping up like a notification.

If you don't mind dealing with selling it, the one from Bloomingdales with the wave duo for $319 will get you pretty close. Looks like you can get $60+ for it.

Is it just me or do these things cause you to itch. Almost like a chafe feeling if done more than a few mins at a time.
