Any decent $10 case from Marshall's or Kohl's will do a good job of protecting it through a once every 60-90 days dropping pattern. If you are the type to drop it once a week, you'll need to drop ~$50 and just spring for the Otterbox. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3oUkgk6vSY

Did a new Flash update just come out? Or did our IT crack down on vids? I can't watch anything at all at work anymore (Facebook and YouTube used to work, now they don't.)

I think the problem is the s3 has a small lip around the edge of the screen so that if it fell and landed face down, would damage the lip, not the screen. On the iphone, the glass front is the highest point of the phone and would take all of the damage. She dropped the iphone on vinyl flooring while sitting down and now the face is all jacked up with cracks n shit. Wack. Last edited by Mixmode; 02-25-2013 at 09:09 AM.. Stan: No, dude. America may have some problems, but it's our home. Our team. And if you don't wanna root for your team, then you should get the hell out of the stadium. Kyle: Yeah. Stan: <salutes the American flag> Go America. Kyle: <salutes> Go America... Stan: Go Broncos Kyle: Yeah go Broncos. Cartman: Yeah... |

I agree with Curtie, if you're mom's susceptible to drops, spring for the Otterbox as thats the only case that's literally 100% shock proof. course it also doubles the thickness of the phone basically lol. btw the iphone 5 uses gorilla glass 2 just like the S3. I got a sweet silicon case for my DNA the day I bought it. I'm pretty careful with my phones though and rarely drop them(if I ever have?). This case seems like it would protect it pretty well. The Otterbox cases are great, but IPT is right, they basically double the size of your phone and make them ridiculously heavy(compared to what they are naked). |

say dropping it 3 ft or so if you drop it like a flight of stairs, it probably won't protect it. The otterbox will because its a re-enforced plastic shell that's covered with like half a CM of TPU Cushioning. Its really bulky, but for those who are active and run the chance of dropping their phone consistently and on hard surfaces, it'll be the way to go. |
