Thread Details

Here is how to ''print'' a coupon to a pdf instead of a printer...then you can take this pdf to staples or office depot and get it printed for 9 cents per page, or for a limited time, staples offers it for 5 cents if u order it online or on phone through this promo
http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/pr...tml?show=1
or of course you could take it to a friend n get it for free :-)

this can be useful if your printer is out of ink or say if ur at work and cannot take personal printouts , then just print in this way and then mail it to your home id before the coupon goes off ! remember to be cautious about SOME coupons that mention that they can be printed ONLY to real printers and not to PDFs, please do not try to create a PDF of such coupons....use this method only if this condition is not mentioned....

step 1: download the bullzip pdf converter software from here
http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php

step 2: when the option to print the coupon appears, click print as if you are printing on a printer, then you will hv an option there ''bullzip pdf printer''. choose that

step 3: choose the appropriate filename and check to see if its the right folder and ...ta..da...there you have it..the printer would have ''printed'' to a pdf

I find this especially useful when there are like bigger coupons and i dont wanna miss out like the macys 10 off 25, or whatever other awesome coupons keep coming on...its better to spend a few cents and get it rather than miss the deal! :-)

HTH someone...

bricks coupons can not be copied like this. this is illegal. and also makes it hard for those that are trying to do couponing the right way as stores ban this information..

thanks for the info...but i really dont think this is good info that should be posted on a board

I have clearly mentioned that this should be used for coupons that do not have the clause of ''not to be printed to a pdf''

OP is clearly not trying to ' cheat ' with Brick's coupons... This is a great thing to do if you are stuck without ink when a super hot printable comes around, we all know the print limits are reached very fast.

You know DISHONEST people will be abusing this way of saving-to-print-later.

no need for OP bashing.. i doubt this will work with bricks coupons because their CouponPrinter is smart enough to differentiate between a virtual printer port and an actual printer. I tried this earlier with a similar software called PrimoPDF

there is a way of using and abusing anything....
i m sure for someone who wanted to abuse, they would have figured out long back how to do so...

i posted this for genuinely helping folks who sometimes like me are in situations that cannot print out the coupon, and sometimes lose the opportunity to print it because then the website takes it down later....

You can also do "File > Save Page As..." and then choose "web page, complete" and save the webpage (images and all) to your hard drive. You then just open the .html file. This is not as good as printing to a pdf though. btw, when you try printing to a pdf printer with bricks, IT KNOWS! Don't try it.

re: saving the web page

I am often downstairs with my laptop that has no printer and I can use this to save the page and email it to myself to print later- on a different computer. I usually can't even remember to go looking where the coupon was 5 hours later when I have access to a printer.

This is a great idea!
