Thread Details

I just got off the phone w/ my agent. She mentioned that if I signed up for eBill I'd save 15% (continuous, not just a 1 time thing) off my auto policy the next time it was renewed.

I looked into signing up on the website but it makes no mention of a discount so I have an email sent to my agent requesting this discount in writing. I'll update this thread with her response.

Anyway, here are the details on how to sign up if you're interested:
  • Goto
  • Under Customer Care on the lower right click on "Registration"
  • Enter Personal Info and Auto Policy #
  • Once registered, login
  • Look on the right for "Go Paperless with Allstate eBill, Enroll Now"
  • Register you Auto Policy with eBill

And the agent's response:

For some reason it does not mention the discount. It's a new discount that just started in August so I'm not sure why they are not advertising it. Maybe because everyone does not qualify for it. You have to be a home owner and own multiple vehicles. I set it up for my own personal auto policy and my renewal premium decreased due to it. I've also informed many of my customers who qualified about the new discount and their were no problems with their policies. Its called the Preferred Package Discount. Again it will not go in to effect until your renewal. We can check it then to see if it was applied. You should get a email from Allstate confirming you are signed up for E-bill.

I've been on paperless for a while now. How about some love for those of us who already are on paperless? I will ask my agent, thanks.

I sure hope this works out for Allstate policy holders, but I'll be amazed if it does. A more likely discount is 3-5%.

In our case, 15% would have saved us $450 per year which seems absurd to use eBill. Our new insurance company, The Hartford, did mention a pay-in-full discount of 5%, but that is not available in all states yet.

I just dumped Allstate last month cuz they raised our premiums 10% with no claims.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I just signed up. My renewal period is later this month. I'll see what happens. I had called them yesterday after I received my renewal statement and saw my insurance had gone up 12% a half (supposedly a state wide thing). The rep I spoke to told me this would be a %10 discount. I would be very surprised if it was that much. If it isn't I guess it's time to look for new insurance.

The very speedy response from my agent:

New Preferred Package Discount- avail at Jan 7th renewal on the auto coverage
Can you consider to sign up at our customer care center on for "e-billing" on the auto insurance?

If you do this on or before your renewal processes through the Allstate computers then you'll get this new "preferred package discount" on the cars of approx 10% at the policy renewal. You meet the qualifications of the new discount except that you aren't signed up for e-bill now.
This is not the same as the easypay out of your checking or savings which you presently take advantage of at a 5% discount.

You can sign up right on the website where you'll see hyperlinks for "customer care center" or "e-billing". It should be an easy click of the computer keys. I wish we could do this for you at the agency but we aren't allowed due to privacy & any passwords you create.

I hope you can take advantage of this! Let me know if you have questions for a more detailed explanation. Please feel free to call me back.
