Based on other suggestions, I decided to make this its own thread. If the moderators wish to merge it that is fine but this way I believe it will get more peoples attention since it is a brand new deal...

Plan includes 1200 minutes / 3000 texts or MMS / 100mb data usage

1) Offered by Page Plus Cellular; a Verizon Wireless MVNO (Reseller).
2) No activation fee. No fees. No taxes.
3) Same coverage area as Verizon Wireless Prepaid.
4) You may use: a) ANY Verizon Postpaid handset with a clean ESN. (Except banned list below!) b) Other CDMA handsets may possibly be used with/without flashing.
5) $29.95/Month fee can be lowered even further by purchasing refill cards at various discounters.

Page Plus: http://www.pagepluscellular.com/

More Info: http://www.howardforums.com/showt...?t=1576900

Coverage Map: http://www.pagepluscellular.com/W...20Map.aspx

As of 5/19/2014, Verizon iPhone 4 and 4S models can now be officially activated on PP. iPhone 5/5s models are still not officially allowed and will not activate without flashing. YMMV.

Calling Mart discount codes are likely to be 5% for now on at the HIGHEST. I still recommend and use PagePlusDirect.com for discounted pins at a 6% discount (or higher)

Other Plans available:

"The 12" - $12/month. Includes: 250 Minutes / 250 SMS or MMS / 10MB Data
Unlimited TnT - $39.95/month. Includes: Unlimited Minutes / Unlimited SMS or MMS (not including data) / 20MB Data
"The 55" - $55/month. Includes: Unlimited Minutes / Unlimited SMS or MMS (not including data) / 500MB Data

Can you use the hotspot/tether if you have a suitable Android phone on this plan?
Absolutely, in fact the feline forums have recently set up an area specifically on this subject.

Like Some Yahoo said, it can be done. Also, while we're on the topic, the feline dealer says they'll be offering a stand alone Novatel MiFi 2200 hotspot soon for $100. Probably not too appealing to many here, especially considering FreedomPop, but good to know that the options continue to expand with P+.

Anyone having any trouble getting software updates to their Verizon badged phones on PP? I just found out that there were two updates to WP for my HTC Trophy that I never received. Checking reports that my software is up-to-date

never heard of page plus! we are on ST.
Ive read through but all thgis confuses me! lol
Two sons have E71 $45 plans.... will the Nokia E71 switch to PP? hubby and I both have $30 plans.
oh, my niece is selling her HTC rezound, will that work on PP? guess its a MAYBE since its 4G?
this would be so great if the boys can save $15 a month for same coverage.
on straight talk you HAVE to buy the $45 plan with the E71's....

The E71 is a GSM phone that runs on AT&T towers, so it won't work on one supported for Verizon. The rezound in theory might work but not very easily since atm they don't support 4G phones on their network.

Could always grab a cpl used Droid X or something from Cowboom to switch over but idk that 250mb will cut it. Certainly not a lot imo when you have a capable phone.

Yea, Straight Talk has a cap of sorts. It likely varies depending on how crowded the market you are in is. Most ppl say keep it under 100mb a day and 2GB a month and you are fine. I personally never had a problem with them when I was with them for 8 months.

But the E71 isn't an overly powerful smartphone so if they were to go onto something that is basically constantly connected and always pulling emails and what not from the cloud, I can see 250mb being a bit too low to handle it.

How is Sprint service in your area? Why not check out Virgin Mobile, $35 and you get unlimited texts and 300 mins plus no averages on data.

Any PagePlus users here on the 100-minute, 120 day cards for $10? Looks like that would essentially be $10 every four months, or $30 a year, for an "emergency" phone. That looks like the cheapest that I've found. Right now I'm paying $15 every three months (or $60 per year) for a legacy Virgin Mobile plan to do the same thing.

Plus, with PagePlus, it looks like you can activate an Android phone, and then use Groove IP or Talkatone for free calling on wi-fi. (Virgin restricts the phones you can use on the old plans.)

Any thoughts? Might start a new thread but thought I'd check in with the PagePlus "experts" here first.

It's $36 a year due to the $.50 cent monthly fee. Still, that's pretty darn good, and can use most any Verizon phone including fancy ones that otherwise would require a data plan, plus you also get Verizon coverage.

I tell everyone who needs a low-use phone to consider this. If you need more minutes but not a ton more, you could also do the $80/2000 minutes/1-year plan and then rollover those minutes into the future with the $10 cards.

PP will text you a warning message about your time expiration 3-5 days before it expires, btw.

There's a guy selling the $10 cards for $8. I've been using them (3 at a time) to refill my wife's $29.95 plan. Best deal going.

I wonder if you could do the same for that plan?
Mind if I ask how that works?

I switched over a few days ago and bought a $39.95 plan for 3% off at some website, but I still had a little under $2 from the port credit left on my account.

My question is how do you buy the $29.95 (or in my case, $39.95 plan) with credit from the port/$10 cards? Because when I tried checking out @ PP, it was making me enter a CC.
