Based on other suggestions, I decided to make this its own thread. If the moderators wish to merge it that is fine but this way I believe it will get more peoples attention since it is a brand new deal...

Plan includes 1200 minutes / 3000 texts or MMS / 100mb data usage

1) Offered by Page Plus Cellular; a Verizon Wireless MVNO (Reseller).
2) No activation fee. No fees. No taxes.
3) Same coverage area as Verizon Wireless Prepaid.
4) You may use: a) ANY Verizon Postpaid handset with a clean ESN. (Except banned list below!) b) Other CDMA handsets may possibly be used with/without flashing.
5) $29.95/Month fee can be lowered even further by purchasing refill cards at various discounters.

Page Plus: http://www.pagepluscellular.com/

More Info: http://www.howardforums.com/showt...?t=1576900

Coverage Map: http://www.pagepluscellular.com/W...20Map.aspx

As of 5/19/2014, Verizon iPhone 4 and 4S models can now be officially activated on PP. iPhone 5/5s models are still not officially allowed and will not activate without flashing. YMMV.

Calling Mart discount codes are likely to be 5% for now on at the HIGHEST. I still recommend and use PagePlusDirect.com for discounted pins at a 6% discount (or higher)

Other Plans available:

"The 12" - $12/month. Includes: 250 Minutes / 250 SMS or MMS / 10MB Data
Unlimited TnT - $39.95/month. Includes: Unlimited Minutes / Unlimited SMS or MMS (not including data) / 20MB Data
"The 55" - $55/month. Includes: Unlimited Minutes / Unlimited SMS or MMS (not including data) / 500MB Data

FYI.................I was always on the VZW network just because it is the best network by far where i live. It came to the point that I needed a new phone. My Droid X was worn out. None of the new sim card VZW phones will work on PP unless you go through hoops flashing and then only a few select phones.
Although AT&T is not he best in my state, AT&T is an awesome network in my immediate area. Much faster data speeds and never a lost call. So with regret, I switched to Strait Talk with a brand new S3 bring your own phone plan. It has been over a year now and I could not be any happier.
Now I read where AT&T is going to allow you to bring your own phone and actually have 2GB of data with LTE speeds and all calls and texts free. This plan will take effect on JUNE 21st . $60 a month for the top plan with lower priced plans available. Why oh why can not VZW offer this??

AT&T GoPhone Customers Can Surf the Nation's Fastest 4G LTE Network with Prepaid Plans
New 4G LTE GoPhone Device Offers Blazing Fast Speed on a Budget

Dallas, Texas, June 14, 2013
Share:

Beginning June 21, AT&T* GoPhone customers can enjoy the affordability and simplicity of a prepaid wireless plan on the nation’s fastest 4G LTE network.** AT&T is adding to its lineup of GoPhone devices with the introduction of the 4G LTE-capable Samsung Galaxy Express™.

New and existing AT&T GoPhone customers can bring their own 4G or 4G LTE smartphone or choose a GoPhone device to connect to AT&T’s nation’s largest 4G network. AT&T 4G and 4G LTE service is available with any of the new GoPhone smartphone plans, which include:

$60 a month for 2 GB of data, unlimited nationwide calling, and unlimited messaging — now double the data at a lower monthly price. Additional data is available for $10 per 1 GB.
$40 a month for 200 MB of data, 500 minutes of nationwide calling, and unlimited messaging. Additional data is available for $5 per 100 MB.
$25 a month for 250 minutes of nationwide calling and unlimited messaging, with an optional data package of 50 MB for an additional $5 a month.
All GoPhone monthly plans include international texts from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and 100 other countries.
The LTE is a nice touch but I still prefer T-Mobile's monthly4G. For $30 I get unlimited data capped at 5gb "4g", which is just HSPA at the moment, unlimited texts, and 100 mins of voice. I don't use a lot of voice, but the overage runs 10 cents per minute. I'd have to use over 400 mins for AT&T to be worth it, and that's assuming 2gb is enough.

I have an HTC Thunderbolt, and I can enable CMDA only on my phone. If I do that, is that a good indication of the service I would get on the prepaid network? I was gonna try and get this for my parents, since the coverage map shows they live in a covered, green, area. Buy when I was at their house this weekend, I was mainly getting 1X service.

Soon perhaps very soon IPhones will be allowed on PP,PERHAPS JUST AND ONLY OLDER MODELS...My Droid Global is still doing fine so before changes will take place my phone will be still working.

As for T-Mobile- it really sucks in my area(NY)
There hasn't been any problems activating iPhones on PagePlus for a while.

Is that only older iPhones? I want to jump on PagePlus, but my wife really wants an IPhone 5.

The StraightTalk iPhone 5 apparently has no trouble being activated on PagePlus*.

The Verizon or Factory Unlocked iPhone 5 "may work", but would require flashing or manual programming which I don't know if is offered anywhere yet.

*Note: I do not use Apple devices, I am only regurgitating information I am reading from HowardForums which may or may not be accurate.

Presuming you're on Verizon, it should be a good indication. Also, be aware that carriers can prioritize post-paid over pre-paid & MVNO users, although I think that's mainly done for data connections.

Edit: Hmm, I guess you're saying you essentially switched off LTE in your test. It's probably still a good indication of what to expect, but there's lots of weird hidden settings that affect data connections, so it's possible they and/or you would get better than 1X on a properly configured phone. I just don't know enough about the Thunderbolt or these settings to say more.

Yes, I activated 4 iphone 4's for families and friend. Been about 1.5 years without problem. 3G works almost all the time but quite slow however.

Also I think the iPhone 4S would work without problem as well.

Just got the email notification from a feline dealer that some of the plans are adding more data, specifically:

The Talk n Text $29.95 plan will be increased from 250mb of data to 500mb of data, as of mid-July. No exact date has been given yet, however, we will keep you informed as we know more.

The Unlimited Talk n Text $39.95 plan will be increased from 200mb of data to 500mb of data, as of mid-August. No exact date has been given yet, however, we will keep you informed as we know more.

As more and more time passes, yes, they absolutely will. Right now maybe people can deal with 2 year old devices. Will they deal with 3 year old devices? 4 year old devices? What was the best phone out in 2009? How many of them are still kicking and running in good condition? Some, I'm sure, but enough to satisfy the demand of P+ customers? I doubt it, and that's where P+ will be in a couple of years. It's not a 'preference' issue, it's a simple numbers game. As time goes on, P+ compatible devices get older, and new ones are incompatible. There just won't be enough working Verizon devices available. This WILL reach a breaking point. Maybe P+ thinks people will just get their shitty Motorola Citrus? I don't know, but I don't think so. The fact of the matter is that usable Incredibles and Droid Xs are dwindling every day.

You act as though we're outsiders looking in, but that's not at all what I am. I've been a loyal P+ customer for a long time, and I jumped ship a year or so ago because of this issue. I'm holding out on two other accounts that belong to my dad and sister, but if something doesn't give there, I'll move them too. Their iphone 4 and HTC trophy aren't gonna last forever, and when they bite the bullet, I'm not going to buy another old phone and hope for the best. Why are you so convinced that there aren't many P+ customers like myself? I jumped to T-Mobile's monthly4G not because I needed faster speeds, but because they support the newest devices.
I can buy 30 or so Droid X and X2 for 36 to60 bucks every day in great shape on Ebayshake head
