Have bought these Kitty City furniture kits for my cats in the past & they are so unstable my cats (even the smallest cat 7lbs) won't play on them. It was a waste of money. Tried the "new improved" suppose to be "more stable" versions & they were still very unstable. Returned it.

There are no reviews on that model. The larger mega tower is also 50% off but has 3 poor reviews. The poor reviews are not quality issues but a mix up in what was received/pictured.

According to the Q&A section of the reviews for the larger set linked above, targets site used to show 11 cubes vs 5 that it shows now. That appears to be the issue people had in the 2 reviews I see. They thought they were getting a much larger set for the price but instead got what's pictured now.

Even if quality is medium both seem like decent prices in comparison to other cat furniture stuff

It looks very modular with individual beams snapping into locking corner pieces. I'm a bit afraid the corner pieces would eventually crack however.

I bought the bigger version based on that assumption. In the description it mentions combining multiple sets etc...so that makes me feel it's modular. Also zooming in on the corner pieces, it shows multiple attachment points which also implies it's able to be setup in multiple variations
