This might not be as smoking hot as some of the other watch deals on those one watch a day sites, but this is the lowest price I found for this watch. I actually bought the watch through the company's ebay auction, but then found out it was about $5 cheaper ordering from their site directly.

Here is a comparison link to the Omega Seamaster:

It's not "Omega Seamaster look-alike".
It's just a diver's watch. Any other diver watch will have similar features and looks.

Well, Omega did create what believed to be the 1st diver watch. So if that's what you're referring to..

It's like comparing Geely vs Benz, IMO.
I'd save my money and get the real deal.

If you can afford to pay $2,000+ for a nice watch, then more power to you. But if you just want to have the look, this is a good alternative option.

Going on the same comparison as you, just because you want a Benz doesn't mean you can afford it.

It never sat right with me to "pretend" to have a nice watch. That is like wearing a faux Rolex pretending it was real in public.

Not bad, but I'd go with an Alpha over a Bulova (http://alphawatchusa.com/). If you're going for the look/styling of spendier watches, they have some great ones to choose from. Good, solid movements to them, and quality materials. Without the high price.

edit: doesn't say what kind of movement is in the Bulova. I'd assume it's a quartz. The Alpha version is a Seagull 21 jewel automatic. Has a nice display caseback too. All for $77.

i dont see a Bulova as being a "pretend" Rolex or anything else. They are a quality watchmaker for people who cannot afford or justify a 2000+ watch. I don't think that wanting a good looking, good quality watch is the same as some who want a Folex because of the name and the associated "prestige" that comes with it.
That being said, this watch doesn't do it for me. I am holding out on another eco-drive Citizen deal.

^ This. There are a ton of asian made movements these days that are every bit as accurate and well made as those found is big name watches. Hang around watch message boards enough and you can learn some good info about what is out there. Another thing to key on is there is a definite seperation between watches that are styled like others (like this Bulova or the Alphas) and the so called "replicas" (ie a watch that says Rolex, Panerai, Omega, etc that isn't).

What it comes down to is you can easily get a high quality watch, in the style of your preference, without paying a big amount of dough. Guess what, put a Panerai next to my titanium Marina Militare at 11:46am, and they'll both say....11:46am.
