Official League of Legends thread!! UPDATE: S2 + DOMINION!!

I've been getting good playing with Sivir. I'm actually on a 3-4 game winning streak I believe.

On a side note, I tried out Heroes of Newerth and didn't like it that much. The graphics and effects are more pleasing to me then LoL. When I played my first match, I had no idea what I was doing. The level is setup exactly like in LoL but when it came to shopping, I couldn't tell what items did what. There are more stats to focus on it seems and is maybe a little too complicated for me.

Maybe my simple mind can't wrap my head around HoN.

Anyone in the mood for some LoL? I feel like making a new accoutn.. lol.

I have been playing LoL for a couple weeks now and have gotten pretty good at it. I had never played DOTA before so there was a learning curve at first but once you find your toon it becomes easier. I am currently lvl 17 with about 45 games won and 50 lost. My user name on LoL is krashr, we should all get together and play sometime.

So I just won my first match... against bots of course haha. I've only played about 5 matches. I used Alistar, and I think I do better with hand-to-hand champions. There's definitely a learning curve, especially since I've never player DotA, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. When I get a little better I'll play against real people haha.

Never play as Alistar so don't have any tips. If you like the hand to hand I think Nunu is free this week so you might want to try him. I played Warwick the week he was free and got pretty dependent on the lifesteal which turned out to be good and bad. Bad is I am not very good at other toons but good is I learned to play Warwick well. I would suggest finding the one free toon this week that you are semi good at and just playing the crap out of him/her until you know all the abilities and what to buy. At first you play against other noobs anyway so fighting against real people shouldnt be too scary.

I can give out a lot of tips, but really I'd need to talk w/you guys over skype or something. A lot of it is situational and knowing what to do at certain times...

It was fun playing with you last night Phrozt. I had only played with that Creakydoors person once so I didn't know how good he would be but we dominated that game.

Heck yeah! That was a good run! It was a bit questionable at first, but then we just started taking off, heh.

So I'm definitely getting better, especially with melee guys. My favorite right now is Jax. I'll be down to play against real people now (but I have two finals tomorrow, so it'd have to be after that lol.)

I've been playing Tristana lately and have gotten decent with her. The item build still isn't perfect but it/I'm getting better.

I played with Nunu the one time online and, man, did I ever suck with them. I think I like the ranged characters better, at least for now. Easier to creep and escape if needed.

I've been owning it up w/gangplank lately. If people don't keep me at bay, I level up and get tons of cash, and then just run over them.

I've been playing non-stop since I first downloaded the game.

So far I'm pretty good with Sivir, Ashe, Morgana, and just bought Katarina and am loving her. Normally I played ranged and magic type people in these sorts of games, so to play Katarina is really fun.

We need to set up a night for all of us to play together.

I was bored today and I hear it is still in "free" mode. Created it, downloaded it, and now am booting it up for the first time.

The game is always going to be "free", AFAIK. It's just in open beta right now.
