Ashe
Quick Glance Runes: Haven't focused much on runes. Items: Philosopher's Stone Black Cleaver Berserker's Greaves Stark's Fervor Last Whisper Infinity Edge Summoner Spells: Teleport: Combined with Ashe's Ult, you can fire it at an enemy attacking a tower, and teleport there right when they get hit. Flash: Really good for either escaping out of snares and slows or catching that running enemy so you can apply Frost Shot. Skill Build: By order of importance: Enchanted Crystal Arrow Volley Frost Shot Plentiful Bounty You basically don't touch plentiful bounty until the everything else is maxed. Unlike Gangplank's extra income, Ashe's isn't part of an attack so there is no real benefit for getting it early. Adding 1g early on won't help much in buying anything. Thus your points are better spent in anything but Plentiful Bounty. Masteries I generally don't have a Mastery set for each Champion. I split between Offensive and Utility but nothing specific to Ashe as I can't always rely on that fact that I will be able to play her. Item Build Start: Regrowth Pendant --> Philosopher's Stone (once you have the money) BF Sword --> Black Cleaver Berserker's Greaves Emblem of Valor --> Stark's Fervor Last Whisper Infinity Edge Strategy Early Game: - If you can, try and solo, the more money and gold you can get the better. - Use volley mostly to get the final blows on multiple creeps. - You shouldn't keep Frost Shot on. Early game it is a drain on your mana and you need to save it for your ult and volley. Remember that Volley applies Frost Shot even if it's off. so that can be helpful when trying to kill an enemy. - Try and get the Black Cleaver as soon as possible. This makes it easy to take down tanks early game and get you kills quicker early on. Quicker kills = more gold. - You should be able to get Berserker's Greaves by now. This makes it almost impossible for enemies to run away combined with your slow. Of course unless they have flash, cleanse, or a ton of dodge. Mid Game: - Try and land frost shot on enemies taking down your towers. If you can get at least one shot, you should be able to kill them as they won't be able to run. - Whenever your Ult is up, find someone with half health or lower to use it on. It has a generally quick cooldown so use it. - Watch lanes across the map. Often times enemies will hide at their tower with low health as they wait to regen. This can be an easy kill if you have a good shot. - By now you should have Stark's Fervor. You now have the boots to chase enemies down, Black Cleaver to bypass armor, and Starks Fervor for attack speed and lifesteal. Your only enemy is being stunned. - Once you get Stark's Fervor, kill the Golem for the mana regen and to be able to spam your ult more. At this point, you should always have Frost Shot on when facing an enemy. Late Game: - Work towards Last Whisper. Once you have it, you will be a killing machine. People won't be able to run, and you can bypass a ton of their armor now. - Try and focus on anyone getting your towers. They won't have time to run once you apply that first Frost Shot. - If you can, get Infinity Edge. I rarely get into a game where the team doesn't surrender before I can get it though. - At this point, just play smart. You still have low health so a stun and a 2-3 person gank can wipe you out easily. Don't be afraid of 1v1 matches though. Skill Strategy Frost Shot: - Not much use early game, but you need to level it early so you can slow people more towards mid/late game. - Uses a good amount of mana so use sparingly until mid/late game. - Once you hit mid/late game and have Stark's Fervor, you will get most of your kills by basic attacks only. Frost Shot will keep them in range. Volley - Awesome way to take out groups of creeps early on. - Can give you a ton of a gold when farming. - Applies Frost Shot whenever it is fired. You can shoot on the other side of the terrain. So if you see an enemy running and your next to him on the other side of some trees. Fire right through them so you can slow them. - Does a good amount of damage early on to annoy enemies. - Has a short cooldown of only 4 sec without any runes or items. I've been able to get it down to just over 2 sec with certain items and builds. Plentiful Bounty - Not to much use for this skill. If you think, most players get between 100-150 creep kills in a game. Even maxed out, that is only 500-750 extra gold a game, which isn't much. Considering that 1pt = 1g for this skill, it is more like 300-500 gold a game. Not worth it to level in my opinion. Enchanted Crystal Arrow - I love this ult. Not for the damage but for the stun. Close range you are only looking at a .5sec stun. But if you are at your base, and some enemies are hitting your towers, fire away and they are stunned for 3.5sec. More than enough time to teleport down there and get a kill. - Short cooldown. You can have it in the 50s with the Golem buff. Most of your kills will come from basic attacks. You will have so much slow, such a high fire rate, and armor penetration that you can just about kill anyone. Last edited by ShaneS429; 12-30-2009 at 03:38 PM.. |

Wow Phrozt and Shane, you guys really took the time to write all that out. Thanks a lot. I'll keep them in mind when I try out those champs. Have you guys thought of posting those strategies at leaguecraft.com? I'm sure that would help out a lot more people too.
When I purchase Heimerdinger and get a little better with him, I'll post up a strategy guide for him. Same with Anivia. Those two champs are far and away my favorites right now, but they just switched the rotation, so I won't be playing them for awhile lol. But now I get to try out some new champs, so we'll see how that goes. I would if I could, but I can't, so I won't.

I'm actually pretty good w/heimer as well.. I should write one out for him, but I haven't played w/him in awhile.
I did submit mine to leaguecraft.. make sure you go vote it up!! It's called "I crit you so hard you cry" in the gangplank section .EDIT: and when you vote, make sure it's +1... not -1... my friend missed the - sign when he voted for me and voted me down by accident lol. So I finally bought my first champion! Heimerdinger is the man. I've been waiting since last week when I tried him out to buy him, and now I have a stable champion that I can master. My next will be Janna. I've been playing with her on this week's rotation, and she's crazy good. I'm currently on a 3 win streak with her (and that's like half of my wins so far mind you haha). Man, this game is addicting

I know!!! I should have taken a screenshot of that!!!!! to shut all those idiots on my guide up about my build.
Yes... I'm giving up crit chance and damage by not taking IE... I know this!!! But the extra damage from more BTs + extra lifesteal = I can stand in a group of people and own all of them. It's funny that I play gang so radically different that people call me a noob... even though it quite clearly works. I was playing a different game that we lost because the team sucked, and someone saw my build and said I was "doing it wrong" and that the build "wasn't viable at all." I guess winning w/a score of 29/4/10 isn't very viable.. is it? |

Dude I just played the most intense game. We were losing so hard, then we got baron and ganked them, and took there mid inhibitor and both nexus towers. They came back and took our mid and top inhibs. We thought we were dead, but our blitz and twitch backdoored and took their nexus. It was ridiculous.
