Kindle Application is Front Page. Why? Gives the appearance of $D promoting a particular vendor...
Can someone explain why the Kindle PC application is front page? I've never seen Adobe Acrobat Reader there. Or the B&N eReader application. I don't recall the Kindle iPhone app making the front page. So why is the "forever free" Kindle PC application front page now? The free Kindle books are completely random and most of them are public domain. They've been free in the past and will be free in the future. We've never had a "Go to the iPhone App Store, there are some free apps there" Front Page deal, so why the Kindle store?Is $D getting a kick-back from Amazon or something? I just can't see how the release of a free application anounced a month or so ago is a Front Page deal. Heck, it's not even a Front Page item on Amazon's page. I would guess because it has 88+ thumbs up, so obviously the members think it's a good deal..

I guess that could be why. But that would then beg the question why there is not a single thread from the "Freebie" section on the Front Page. FP is supposed to be for deals that save money. This application will never cost anything, so...

I don't know why people like it either but that's what the community picked so we can't argue with that. It's a good enough deal that it triggered our popular icon
 . You may want to read what brisar posted on how fp deals are picked.Lastly, 100% commission on a free item is still $0 so no, we don't get anything out of the Kindle deal. Remember to checkout SlickFillers for Amazon Fillers.

I've seen freebies on the front page. Especially free razors and TV Guide subscriptions. Speaking of which, I wish there was a free TV Guide subscription on the front page now, lol.
