Consumer Reports listed it as pretty decent. Excerpt:
This is a very good model overall. It was very good at heating evenness and defrosting. It excelled in our noise tests during microwaving. It has a 10-year warranty on the magnetron.

LowsThis model can't make small-size popcorn bags with auto feature. The frozen-vegetable setting was not as good as others and this model does not have a sensor.
I'm looking at getting a replacement too. The sensor thing, I believe, is that some MW's have a sensor to automatically shut off when they 'sense' the food is done. At $99, with hopefully 10% Lowe's coupone, I don't think you can go wrong.
I bought the $98.99 over the range microwave at Home Depot on Black Friday. It has a $30 rebate and I used a 10% off Lowes competitor coupon (that the clerk generously keyed in as 20% off). Total cost after savings and tax = $44.43! I installed it this afternoon without any difficulty. So far I have reheated a monster plate of Thanksgiving leftovers and a bag of popcorn and both came out perfect. This microwave replaces a 5-6 year old microwave that sometimes (more often than not these days) will arc electricity and make a loud noise as it cooks. The little plastic wheels under the rotating tray have gone around so many times that they wore the paint off the bottom and I think that exposed metal reacts to the action of the magnetron. It was time for a new microwave. I am happy I found such a great deal, even if the competitor coupon part was an accident, we needed a new micro badly.
Edit: Oh, I see. The rebate is for the Magic Chef, not Samsung. Yes?
Just got finished installing. I'm a DIYer, not a handyman, so it took me 6 hrs (including cleanup). Replaced my 14yr old GE Spacesaver.
About 1 to 1.5 hrs of the time was trying to figure out how to get my old one removed! Finally found an extra hidden screw the original knucklehead
installer put in. :=/ And, of course, the screw head was stripped!
Microwave is not bad. For the price I'm quite happy. The bulb they supply for the stovetop light is pretty weak. I like to actually have light
when I need it. I replaced it with my old bulb. Bingo! We have light. My microwave burritos have never tasted so good...
