I recently bought this same Panasonic Plasma TV at Sears in December. I had to return it this week because the TV wouldn't turn on. I would advise anyone who considers buying a Panasonic Plasma to read this blog. People have reported to have problems with their Panasonic Plasma TVs after 1-2 years. That is when the TV goes out of warranty. The warranty on the Plasma TV is only 1 year for parts and labor. Be sure to use a credit card that can add another year of warranty protection like American Express.

If you are having problems with your Panasonic plasma television set not turning on, please add the details in the comments thread.

You might have reached this site by typing in one of the following search phrases:

* my panasonic plasma will not turn on
* red light blinks seven times
* what is wrong with my panasonic plasma
* blinking red light of death
* faulty power supply on panasonic plasma

RED BLINKING LIGHTS

The Panasonic Plasma TV will display the red blinking lights and a black screen (TV doesn't turn on). The number of red blinking lights denotes a problem with the digital board or the power supply.

I would think after all the Black Fridays and After Christmas sales on Blu-Rays and PS3 players, everyone and their grandma would have 1080p quality movies!

It all depends on what you are expecting. I came from a 3 year old 46" DLP. I bought this set three
weeks ago and it's a great deal ($625.xx at sears.com after BCB and 5% online discount). It's not the
best TV, not even the best plasma, but for $625, it's a pretty good TV.

The worst part about it so far is the glossy screen. My living room has french doors right
next to the TV and the glossiness is a bit of a problem during the day. Other than that it's been
a great set so far.

I think that if you are in the market for a large tv, you should also be in the market for high quality media sources (blu-ray / high def chans).

I own this TV. I bought it back in November....mounted it on the wall and it looks awesome. I have no complaints for price versus picture quality. I've got friends that own 1080p Bravias...they all think it has a great picture and can't believe it's 720p.
