Went to Petoskey, MI HD last night and purchased 2 DeWalt 4 packs for a total of $380 out the door. I had a lowes 10% off from the post office moving pack. I was so excited. They had the 6 pack, but the price was still $629. They also had the Ryobi tec 4 but it was still $99. I don't know why they had some prices, but not all.

If he wants bare tool ... no battery and charger...... I will make him a deal. Have him PM me

I am selling the bare tools on Craigslist:

Rec. Saw $35

Circular Saw $40

Impact driver $45

I am keeping batteries and chargers for myself.... That is why I bought so many!

I noticed someone mentioned a 2 piece drill/reciprocating saw deal. What is the sku number and details of this item? I didn't see it in the wiki.

Well with the price adjustment out of the way I can finally open this Dewalt 4pcs kit & now have some two questions about it.

The charger ticks while charging? This is probably normal.

There was one loose torx screw in the case. Spare or something from one of the tools?

I was a the Oak Lawn (94th and Pulaski) Home Depot- they had a floor model miter left- it was obviously used as it was full of saw dust. It appeared to be complete (blade, wrench and dust bag). It was tagged at $449. When I asked the tool guy of that was as low as they could go he offered to knock it down a additional 10%. When I hit him with the $299 clearance price- I backed it up by showing him the prices on my phone- he laughed and proceeded to tell he "we will throw it out before we sell it for that price". So if anyone is up for a good argument- stop by and try to get it for $299. Please report back on your success... There was also 1 DeWalt 4 piece kit left- it was tagged at $269.

charger tick, if it corresponds with the red led light, that's normal.

as for the screw, look around and see if one fell out of the tools somewhere...

hmmm... i think home depot should retrain their employees in situations like this. they just look totally stupid when the next day they are told to mark the price down to $299. a polite, "sorry, we can't do that price right now..." would be sufficient and would look less dumb when he runs into the same customer the next day as he's putting on the $299 price tag...

Scored the miter saw in SC. Just marked them down this am. They had about 5 of them but all were gone by midday.

They also had the granite top table saw marked down to $299. Try as I might I couldn't justify getting another table saw.

Reps to the OP!

Darn, stumbled across a DeWalt 450XI set while shopping for other things and took it.

Multiple coupons made this a great deal..

Don't know what I'll do with it as I already have most of these tools. Just couldn't turn down a GREAT deal. I don't know if I should curse SD or thank SD. But wow.

a little off topic, but since we're talking about the milwaukee miter saw and i'm sure there are some tool fanatics following this thread, how would you compare the milwaukee 6955-20 (the one in this deal) to the hitachi C12RSH? i've read the individual reviews and i've played with both (have both, now that i got the milwaukee).... i'm planning to get rid of one of them, but i can't decide....

i love the sliding mechanism of the hitachi and the laser is actually usable... the milwaukee has a few degrees wider range.... the hitachi has weird mounting holes so i have to have a plywood board to 'adapt' to my miter stand (dewalt DW723)...

Can anybody post a scan of their upc from their table saw? I didn't get the packaging with mine since it's a display model.

Just went to my local Home Depot and found some GREAT deals on clearance!

Dewalt DC728KAS 14.4V 1/2 inch drill kit - DC728 drill, 2 batterys, charger, soft case, And DW920 7.2V angled screwdriver List $179, yesterday clearance was $99, today $69! Next lowest price I found was $120 at Ace Hardware Outlet [acehardwareoutlet.com] for JUST the dc728!

Ridgid R4511 Granite table 10" contractor style table saw, regular $599, sale $299... Here's a review [lumberjocks.com].

Ridgid 6" jointer/edger regular $499, $299

Lots ot Ridgid lithium drill/tool kits on clearance, lots of BBQ accessories, Propane patio heaters $99, Dewalt pressure washer, reg $999, $599.

Searched for anything similar in previous postings but found nothing. Home Depot's website is difficult to search to say the least.

Employee told me, while discussint the table saw, these may be specific to stores due to low sales- my store never sold one- they have 3 on the floor and 2 of them just arrived.

Massive YMMV, I'll be heading back tomorrow and will try to get sku's and such.
