I agree with you completely up to the loan part, then you lost me. My son gets a kick out of playing with spiderwrap after I cut it off at home. It will only be quiet if you freeze it in a block of ice.

You really will get banned from a store if you decide to try this! Plus, you would have to be outside the store for that to truely apply. They still have the right to refuse the sale in the store. Be smart....you are intentionally stealing their security devices when you do this...not buying...stealing...and you can be brought up on charges. So, the real question is...do you want to get banned-possibly detained/arrested or go home empty handed?

Just noticed that with one of mine as well. The other one has everything. I am planning on using it. The Leviton structured media boxes should be hitting penny soon. There are still a few out there. Sorry don't have SKUz on hand.

Those are called alpha spiderwraps. They come off with a alpha s3 handkey or a set of magnets you can buy online. My suggestion to you would be to simply bag the drill while the cashier is distracted with another customer, and quickly walk out. Yes the EAS Towers will alarm. Ignore them, no one can stop you as you paid for the merchandise. I worked LP for many years, you should be fine. And if they do say something, remind them that you paid for the merchandise, and they have no right to stop you.

As long as he paid for the merchandise, theres nothing LP can do. Sorry to break it to you dude. He can't be brought up on charges..., Maybe get some dirty looks though.

A spiderwrap will always set off the alarms at the exit. Like I said you paid for the merchandise, just leave with it. Don't let apron touch it, just walk out.

I'm sorry, what were you trying to say about felony? In most states if you are stupid enough to steal merchandise, if its $1,000 or under its a misdemeanor. And walking out with a security device attached to a item is not a crime. If you actually read the above post. I worked LP at a couple of stores including HD. I know what I'm talking about.

Did you know you can walk right by receipt checkers as well?

The reason i mentioned the magnets was, for some people who buy this stuff for resale. A dinged box does not look good to the buyer. Don't use these magnets in store unless you want to attract a lot of a attention to yourself.
