It is intentionally priced low and used as a "sacrifice" to draw people into the store in hopes they will buy more, not an item that they will only see the low price on once already in the store. I don't think this applies in this situation. I don't recall ever seeing an item advertised (outside of the store setting) at it's .03 price. Last edited by houdiniwilla; 10-12-2012 at 03:07 PM.. definitely NOT making money at .03 level. Always a Loss. .03 is usually 66-75% clearance markdown. Maybe nordstrom marks up their prices that much but not hd. Even at the .06 level they usually dont make money on it, but it depends on what it is. It's not that hard to look up the cost of an item. |
