Ok I went to my depot today saw this item thought it should be a penny and it's not it rang up for $49.00
Any suggestions?

Should, but from my experiences, seasonal things don't go through the same cycles, more like store by store decisions.

Those type of items could start out clearance, but once the season changes for the item, it SOMETIMES changes its classification to either Inactive or Seasonal, which means it does not go down in price any more.

I have questions about clearance items. I saw the SKU and use their computer looking for the price. The price checker shows "N/A". But when I ask an employee check the price, they have no issue for getting price. What's wrong? The SKU is in the original box.

Try typing in the 12 digit UPC code on the box. Sometimes that works.

Haha. I went to Lowes the other day to look for a microwave and it felt like I was cheating on Home Depot!

I did notice that Lowes seems cleaner and better lit, but unless there are penny deals HD will always have my heart.

Thanks for posting this. Somehow in redoing my list awhile ago I must have accidentally deleted this item from it. So glad you mentioned this because it was something I wanted to watch out for but my Home Depots aggressively sold these guys when they were first put on clearance. I checked inventory anyways and there was a store with 6 of them . I went there right away and behold there they all were(5 + a display), and everyone in the store was doing a double take at me as I wheeled them to checkout. In talking with one of the employees she said that the reason they were probably still there was because the tag still showed $33X and wasn't updated. She asked if I was going to resell them and I totally played dumb, but it was obvious she was saying with a tone of "yeah it wasn't updated because we were gonna get them, and I can't believe you're getting all of them". Would have been a dream if I coulda snagged them at a penny, but with those employees that's all it woulda been, a dream.
