My AVG Antivirus Professional (paid software) has been blocking a "Rogue Scanner" for several days now. It's shown up when going to the Daily Poll and the NOSO pages so far, not every day, but every 2 or 3 days. I just close the AVG message about it and go to another SB page. Then I go back to the first page and it doesn't show up again. It seems to be showing up completely random and not every time you visit that particular page.
A Rogue Scanner is fraudulent or malicious software that claims to be a virus scanner or other security software. The ones I've read about will pop up when you enter a page and claim there's a virus (or several) on your computer and offer a "free" scan so they can remove it. Once you allow the scan, they will demand payment and lock up your machine until you either send them payment or you have your hard drive reformatted/wiped.
I had it popup on the poll & NOSO also for the past few days on IE, so I've been doing these on my phone.
Has anyone joined Plink that is in the inbox? I think someone asked this yesterday but I don't think I read a response.
I signed up for plink a month or two ago. No problems so far and they credit the initial bonus rather quickly , and the SB's earned thru purchases credit in about a week or so.
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
65 minutes for 200sb and after i watch the 40 minute show, i get the "sorry over quota!" message.
couldn't you have disqualified me prior to watching it? granted it was a decent show, but still.. not the point lol
I got the same flippin' ripoff over quota survey last week for 113 SBs. The show was "The Goldberg's". I tried to hunt down the producers or the show's website, but the show isn't on yet. I saved the info, and just as soon as there is contact info, I'm going to let them know how their advertising $$ made me determined not to watch the show, even though it wasn't bad. I did click on the 200 SB 65 minute survey, and as soon as I saw it was the same watch a TV show survey from the same survey company, I bailed!
SP - HappyBidDay Auctions - 17 SBs --- Just sign up first page info; don't bother with the CC info. It says it takes 2 hours to credit, but it credited instantly for me.
SP - MyLife - Find Out Who Searched For Your - 35 SBs --- Whatever you do, DON'T use your real info on this offer. It's a database to locate people, and under the guise of letting you know who's been searching for you, it takes your info and adds it to their data base. Choose the free version in the upper right hand corner of the page. I searched for a real person, and left the window open. Took a little while to credit.
Found an offer in the inbox for 25 SB to sign up for a personal privacy report. Instant credit after submitting the information. Wish the message indicator for the inbox would work, I had 6 in there and no notice of them up on the menu bar.
17SB - Travel organizer US TripIt banner sign up, confirmed email
58SB - What she Has To Say - Signed up but did not complete all those pages, no email to confirm, and it credited
20SB - Energy Shots Battle Free Sign Up - filled out first page only
That wall has a lot more offers now, but I don't like the sorting. I constantly have to filter between all and free, and then the drop down for registration. I find new offers each time I do that, that sort of seem to hide if I don't play around with the filters.
More restaurant surveys! Between those and TV surveys, it's sooooo boring. I wish they'd mix it up a bit. I'm getting to the point where I do the exact same surveys over and over weeks apart. Some on TS, some on PL, although PL are hit and miss. I can waste a lot of time on those and them get the 'good or bad' page, and then only 1 SB.
